Whoops tried to to post before but it disappeared. Just wanted to thank you for your support and encouragement. It really means a lot . Besides my immediate family I have only told 2 friends. Although they are both support one lost 50 pounds on her own years ago and maintains the loss and the other has always been a size 6. So as wonderful as they are it it means a lot hearing from other vsg ers.

Hi everyone....wow, so many October peeps here!!!! I think it's a good omen for sure.....I can't believe I am coming up on my 3rd surgiversary.....and thank you to all of you for your sweet notes about my blog....for sure I will start writing it again, maybe do a once a month blog starting in October. You all have inspired ME! This week I joined a gym and I am loving it. (Keep in mind, I have never been athletic, never been a runner, never been good at exercise). But I have a lot of good music and podcasts on my iPhone and I am loving my time there each morning. It feels like 'me' time. I am at 65K (144 lbs) and I really want to get down to 133. I have a huge even to go to at the end of November (a masked ball in Berlin!) so I want to be able to get into something very slinky.

Anyway, congratulations to all those that are on the cusp of a new life.....I just realized I'm not sure I should be in this group because I will be 61 in October.....can I stay please? You are all so nice!

Yes please stay in this group, I loved reading your first year journey. I found it amazing that you had the courage to do all the traveling so soon after surgery. It made me realize that no mater where I go I can also find something to eat on the menu or at a party, I just remember if queen of the crop could do it all over the world I can do it in my limited traveling. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

Grammy, are you planning on drinking the canned or bottled Protein Drinks or a powder. I want to use unsweetened frozen fruit with milk and unflavored powder. Is that acceptable No desire to try the chocolate or vanilla, feel like it would not be good. does anyone know of anywhere that you can a small container or samples of some of these >

Thanks !!

I've been slowly getting the bottles of Premire Protien 30 grams Protien from SAMs club. I also have Ungery in chocolate and plain also the chicken one. Also bought a sample pack from them so I'm set with drinks. Oh for my liquid 2 weeks I have slimfast also. They haven't said anything about a 2 week liquid diet but I hear so many that I figured I'd stock up. Then what I don't like after surgery my fiancé will drink lol.

Have a great day ladies

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
