Using the possessive.....

Recommended Posts

I just returned from my walk -- I have been doing an hour of fast walking every day and I'm feeling really good. I used to say I was going for a walk, or going to workout, etc., but now I say I'm going for my walk. I am headed to the basement for my workout. Things in my brain and my body have really shifted and now exercise is an absolute priority. It's not something I fit in if I can, and I'm no longer pretending I want to do it when I really don't. I want to! I own this now in a new way. It's my body and my exercise. Yippee!

Exercise has become a priority for me too. I used to make all kinds of excuses. I have been walking 2 miles each morning for 9 days. Today I went and checked out 3 videos from the library. 2 walking ones and one dance. Gonna give those a try for really hot days as summer is approaching. Mix it up. Keep it fresh.. But walking is my favorite. I love nature and it really clears my head.

I never look forward to exercise, but nothing can beat the endorphins when I am done! The use of the possessive is important to me because it reminds me of my commitment to myself, and it sends a clear message to husband and kids this is my time. Look out--Mommy's workin' up a sweat!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
