Wow, had an interesting experience today. Had a Nuclear Stress test. Never had one of those. The hardest part was the horrible headache I got, starting late yesterday, because I couldn't take any of my meds. My sugar didn't go up too bad.

The tech told me it was caffeine withdrawal. Told him I didn't drink coffee or sodas, so how could that be. Then I told him I had 2 Excedrin every morning for my arthiritis, he said that's it. He told me the Excedrin is loaded with caffeine. I knew it had some in it but had no idea it had that much! It's a little after 5pm here now and I am just now getting rid of the headache.

No more Excedrin for me, never! I don't want to go through this withdrawal again. I am going to call the doctor tomorrow and find out what I can take for the arthiritis aches.

At least I learned something today, besides the fact that my heart is just fine.

Hi, Toler -

Glad your tests turned out well.

Another great thing about getting this operation is the number of tests that you have to take. YES, it's GOOD! It's good because you get a complete health workup and can provide a baseline for future health reference. And at our ages, Medicare ... you know the rest. I also felt very good about learning about my heart health. Being overweight and coming from a family with heart issues I always wondered just how healthy my heart was. I have hypertension, too, which has come down a LOT since my operation.

... and the beat goes on ...

You're right. It's very good to know the old ticker is ticking the way it's supposed to.

Skuper -

We lived in Westfield, NJ for twenty years. We moved to South Florida and have loved it. Give me orchids over snow any day, even when tropical storms are on their way. We even found a pizza place which makes passable pizza. (Not that we eat it that much anymore!)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
