Does anyone eat pizza?

Recommended Posts

pizza is my absolute drug and every time I see it I want it so bad. I am only 6 weeks out and it is impossible for me to eat. I wanted to ask you vets if you eat pizza and at what stage? I'm hoping at maybe 6 months I can try it. But I'm afraid to be in pain.

I probably eat 6-8 slices per month, for me it was more then a year after my gastric bypass, but I had complications and went 180 days without food! Only Protein shakes!

I've had pizza three times now at 8 months most op. I can handle 1 slice minus the end crust. Can't fit in anymore. But it is nice every once in a while.

I rarely have pizza as its not my thing , but an occasional slice with THIN crust goes down just fine. There is a place near me ( Spiro's) that makes an amazing pizza with chicken , garlic, spinach and a cheesy white sauce, but what I love the most is their crust !!! I think it has cornmeal in it so its not thick and heavy like other crusts, and I have never gotten stuck eating this kind of crust. Try making your own !

Thin crust, small bone.

Tomato based sauce

chicken

artichoke

sun dried tomatoes

red onion

mozzarella

goat cheese

gorgonzola

ooohhh yeah!

We have a place near us that can make really unique pizzas like that. I think it's called Angelo's. I always like to try mine with artichoke hearts and goat cheese if I can.

I also, for the record, love Round Table's chicken Garlic pizza (with white sauce), although I've only been able to find that chain of restaurants in California...

um, I think we might have been twins seperated at birth. :) Sounds like the perfect pizza to me, only thing missing is a bit of spinach.

Pepperoni, mushroom, extra cheese, regular crust. Oh. My. God. That's crack to me. I'm only 1 month post op. It's the ONLY food I think I'd be tempted by. Way too scared to try it yet. I hope someday I can look at it and not feel passion. I do want to try the Greek version version. Yum.

Two Lakes Supper Club near Almond, WI makes the BEST shrimp pizza on a super thin crispy crust. Family owned and run since 1949. They close in the winter months and people put in their pizza orders by the dozens to stock in their freezers until they reopen in the spring. They also make a mean drunken chicken. Road trip anyone? http://www.hellotwolakes.com/history.html

Kindle, where are you from?? I'm in Beaver Dam WI and Almond is about 75 miles from me. I will definitely be making the trip for some shrimp pizza!!

I dream about this pizza. Pepperoni/mushroom. I also love the margarita pizza. I so wish I could have just one bite. I'm 7 weeks it would kill me. Like swallowing a rock. It would hurt all the way down for hours. I wouldn't be able to swallow my own saliva afterwards. Id probably end up throwing up or going to the ER for an endoscopy. Whew ok I don't want any pizza now. Hahaha

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
