I had my sleeve 08 July and am now down 134 pounds. The transformation has been an amazing journey. The math says that's 4.5"....I don't want to brag but that's pretty impressive "growth" by anyone's standards! ha ha

Last step will be updating the idiotic picture in my post. Holy crap...I don't look like that any more at all.

So, in the context of this thread.... exactly what picture are you posting? [Yikes!]

The math is an approximation, it depends on a large number of factors, and the apparent growth (that is, the amountthat newly sticks out of your rolls as weight is lost) by no means follows a linear curve. If that was the case, you could gain to 600lb, then lose to 200 and magically have something like 14 inches which is lunacy. That said, I'm down 70 lb from 415 and have gained about 1.75"

So it's been 6 months and I'm down 95 LBS and I'm no longer a type 2 diabetic and I don't take any meds any more !! I went down from a size 42 pants to a size 32 , and I now wear a small / med , shirt now. ,, I work out almost everyday , I run a 3 mile fitness trail in homdel park in New Jersey , and do weight lifting / and also swim laps , it's very hard work but I do not have any of that saggy skin I feel great !! And I'm starting to look great I think I'm starting to see some ab muscles ,WOW, but I said it before and I'll say it again none of that tops the fact that my ""penis"" has tripled in size !!!! Well just. Giving an up date !! I hope you'll and doing as well as I 'em I still haven't told everyone that I hade the sleeve done I guess it's cause I'm still worried that I will fail and it would look like I had this done for nothing

Congrats! My surgery is April 13th. I start my pre op 4/6.

Was wondering if most guys have issues with saggy skin or not.

So far I don't have any noticeable loose skin. I'm 6 months out and down 105lbs. I've been lifting weights since 2 months post-op about 3-4 times per week. I think this is a big help.

What kind of weight regimen did you start out with? Low weight and high reps or the opposite?

Yes cause I was never a big "Gym" guy hance the 300LBS I started off very light like 20LBS but lots of reps plus I started doing some classes (only guy there) but everyone was so nice and helpful like classes like bodypump and floor crx it's from a guy named les miles look it up on line I'm still light like 50LBS but I'm a lot more flexible

My goal size is to wear a 36" waist "loose" fit and large size shirts, and not more extra large or extra extra large! I am hoping to get the surgery this year and am a 38"-40" currently with a tight fit.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
