Preop liquid diet ideas

Recommended Posts

I can have up to three shakes/day

But have only been able to get one per day down. I had some chicken broth. Maybe the Decaf coffee is a good idea. Do you use that instead of Water with powder?

I hate to tell you this, but honestly there is no easy way. You just have to bear down and do it. Pre op sucks, it was one of the hardest two weeks I've ever been through. .. and I'd do it again in a second for the results I've had. You can do it, just hang in there and it'll be a bad memory soon enough.

I'm only at the end of day 2 out of 14...

Any ideas to make this easier?

Or to make it feel more doable?

I am also at the end of day 2. I can have 3-4 Protein Shakes a day. I love my shakes, but so want something to eat! My sweet husband has been picking up egg-drop Soup from my favorite chinese restaurant. I just strain it and eat the broth, but it's better than canned broth. I have also been eating sugar free Jello. You don't know how many times I've thought to myself...Oh, I'm going to quit this and wait until fall. I won't of course, but it is pretty hard.

BTW, I use almond milk in my shakes. I think it's a little sweeter.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
