so, I start my liquid pre op diet today. I realized that some of my supplements I bought don't necessarily say whey Protein Isolate which is what the NUT recommended. Is this okay? Detrimental? I bought Muscle Milk Light and Oh Yeah ready made shakes.and now I'm worried I can't drink them. Does anyone know?

I drank Atkins Advantage for my two weeks preop, Pretty sure muscle milk was on the list too.

I would be careful, those are not high in Protein and they contain a lot of sugar and carbs...if I were you I would go out to costco and get some Premier Protein shakes..they are pre-made but high in protein and they taste good. Then maybe order some nectar whey protein online off Amazon or Bariatric choice...I wish you well.

I'm not sure what you mean. MM light has 25 Protein and 2 sugar and oh Yeah has 32 protein and 3 sugar . I though these were good ratios

I remember my NUT saying something bad about Muscle Milk..maybe it's the carbs? But if you're good with it go ahead. Or maybe call and check...

Atkins isn't the highest in Protein but it sure is easier to get down. I kept hearing the carbs and sugar were high but they're not. Also try Pure Protein premades. 23 G protein and low carb/sugar. Cheap and good. The powders are nasty.

Muscle Milk light is fine. I don't like it as much as Premier Protein and still have some sitting in my fridge.

I'm on day 7 of Pre-Op. I'm only allowed to have the Muscle Milk light. It tastes fine and keeps me decently full.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
