For me, definitely Protein Bars. I have to not buy them because it is way too easy to eat 2 at a time.

Definitely popcorn (As I mentioned in your last post) corn chips, potato chips, and any other salty/crunchy food I avoid like the plague these days. When I ate rice or Pasta, they were slider foods. I also sometimes eat a whole Protein bar when half of it would do the trick--but I can't stop! ( So I buy 1 or 2 at a time and use them as a treat when I need more protein.)

I don't eat salty crunchy slider foods anymore. If my husband brings them into the house, I command him to eat them all and leave nothing in the bag. Too tempting.

Crackers. I bought the baked ones thinking it was a at least a better choice, but when I easily eat two servings - not a good choice.

Chips!! chips are my downfall...even at 6 months out! Down almost 80 lbs and I can take a half a bag of spicy pig skins like I did before my surgery!!

Fat Free Refried Beans. I Portion Control. and hey, there's some nutrition value . But not much prolonged satiety.

I'm scared to try any kind of forbidden foods, lest I slide to the point of no return (pun intended LOL) and I'm paranoid it would be a slippery slope to ruining all my hard work thus far.

I'm not allowed grains, starchy veggies, or sugar, so I don't know about things like crackers, chips, or Cookies. But I suspect they will be sliders for me. I am allowed to eat nuts, and I feel like I could eat them forever. Like they don't engage restriction whatsoever. I have to weigh the nuts beforehand (no more than an ounce, usually less) and stick with that amount. If I let myself eat however much I wanted I feel like I could eat a whole jar of them. Not that I've ever tried it but that's what it feels like!

Macman how much have you lost since day of sleeve? I am at 40 lbs down since dec 18 but your weight loss is amazing!!!! I would love to see your diet guidelines as I really have none because my surgery was done out of town no nutritionist. I can eat very little, like 3 bites and then start hurting.... Practically only eating Protein and water!

I just don't allow myself to eat anything high cal or carbs, I think it's very important to keep yourself away from the bad food that could become your slider. My personal belief is I put my body threw major surgery and had a huge part removed, why do all that if I go back to my old ways. This is just how I believe. I understand not everyone thinks that way but it's working for me. Iv lost a total of 80 lbs 70 since sleeved oct 9 th, my way of thinking had paid off for me. So at 11 days post op plz don't be even wondering ab sliders bc it might be your down fall a few months out

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
