Silence is golden at my house during meal times

Recommended Posts

Why do I say that? Because it is the truth. I found I was getting stuck more while having conversations at the table and I was not paying attention to what I was doing. I told my husband no more talking at the table while eating. It really works very well. That gives us more quality time later in the evening to talk about the days events. It's just something I need to do for myself.

Me too Cheryl. I have to have it quiet so I can concentrate on taking small

bites and chewing really well. If not I will have issues. I thought I was the only

one.

That is something I do as well. No talking while eating.

I just set my fork down. Talk and listen and watch how many bites others are taking while I wait. It makes me aware of how much I used to eat. And I am happy to see the difference while talking and setting my fork down. .

That would make me feel awkward. Thank God I can manage eating/talking/interacting all at the same time while still being mindful of what my jaw, hands, and mouth are doing.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
