Rushed to hospital 5 days post op

I was rushed to the hospital last night via ambulance after experiencing severe pain and nausea, in the middle of a snowstorm.

My blood pressure was 60/25 which I'm told is extremely dangerous. Pumped me with fluids and BP came up to 107/55.

Cat scan revealed bleeding and they are still not sure what's going on. May have more surgery. Pain is still pretty bad.

Andrew, my sleeve day friend, so glad you are doing better! And that your sleeve is ok. Continue posting your updates...you have a big group out here sending positive thoughts to you.

Glad you made it to the hospital and as Kathy said that is too bad about another surgery to fix the bleeding, but I'm certainly glad they were able to go fix what was wrong. Also great news that your staple line is in excellent shape.

I hope the road to recovery is much easier from here on out.

So sorry this happened to you! Glad to hear your 2nd surgery went well! Best wishes to you!

I hope and hope that this is the end of your troubles...But know this that if it is not you will still make it. You will be successful. And it will be worth it....

I know it does not feel like it right now but this will pass too..Thank goodness your sleeve staples are okay....That takes a load off my mind regarding your condition.....

Andrew, during my surgery my spleen started bleeding and I needed a blood transfusion. Thankfully it was during the surgery and not after so I didn't need a 2nd surgery like you, but my recovery has been totally uneventful. I'm 8 months post op, 73 lbs down with only 9 left until goal. I promise thinks will only get better from here!

Hoping for the best! Very curious what caused your bleeding, for us post op any info to be aware of will be helpful to look out for! Blessings your way!

Thank you to everyone for your concern and positive thoughts. I'm told that I'm healing well and will go home tomorrow.

The surgeon could not find the source of the bleeding as it had stopped by the time he went in there. He checked my spleen and staple line and all good.

Trying to keep a positive attitude but I'm having some difficulty. I was so positive post op for 4 days.

No , no Andrew attitude is everything...Trust me it could be a lot worse!!!!!!!! Of course it could have been better too but it was not as bad as others have had it...Chin up..forward with the goal and your journey had an interesting bleep in it. A story to share someday...It makes it worth it more when you have to work for it...Keep that in mind..It is all about attitude and will power to face things when they are not going the typical way...Come on now..you got this..K
