  1. 234.6...finally a loss! But won't meet my target. Oh, well...
  2. Had a weird bad day...up 2 pounds one day for no reason, then back down the next. Oh, well... HW 265.8 SW 260 CW. 236.2 I'm kinda old, so likely a slow loser, but I'm good with slow but steady! Thanks and good week to all!
  3. 7 weeks out; no problems with jerky. I carry a package of turkey jerky in my car for emergency meals!
  4. Two nights; no drain. Leak test at the end of surgery. I really don't think surgeons are "saying" you have a hiatal hernia when you don't. At least Aetna will not pay more for the hernia repair, but as someone else said, my surgeon corrected it anyhow. I knew I had it from pre op testing. If you want to go to Texas, BMI in San Antonio has great surgeons! Mine was Dr. Seger; Dr Duperier also is. "Top Doc". And, as a side benefit, both are very attractive and have super bedside manner. At least that was my experience.
  5. HW 265.8 SW 260 CW 236.8 Thanks, Dema
  6. Yes, mine are gone, too. Glad not to feel guilty seeing them uneaten...thanks, all.
  7. Hi, all I am 6 weeks out and doing great. I have quite a few packs of bariatric soups, puddings etc I will never use. Also, some shake mixes with only a serving taken out. (My taster was not happy with protein shakes after surgery.) I know there are folks on limited income who could make use of what I have. Happy to put together a package and send your way...anywhere in US. PM me here if you are interested.
  8. HW 265.8 SW 260 CW 238.4. (Whoot...stall is maybe over for now)
  9. Weight today: 239.8...still stalling...boo :-(
  10. Ok....I, too, have been in a stall and after 8 days beginning to creep down again. HW 265.8 SW 260 CW 239.6
  11. CW 240.0....dreaded three week stall (but in my fourth week)
  12. Even though I did not have frequent reflux before surgery, my doc put me (and likely all his patients)!on 40 mb of omeprazole daily for at least 3 months. Not a hint of acid issues so far at 4 weeks out.
  13. That means we have already lost almost 20% of our weight loss goal. Wow!!!!
  14. Yes, my pain was pretty bad for a couple weeks, getting better gradually and now very infrequent problem. Just been able to sleep on my sides for a couple days. Sleeve date was 12/10.
  15. Hi Here is my report for this week...not so much lost...in a bit of a stall, but happy anyway: HW 265.8 SW 260 CW 240 (Surgery Dec 10)
  16. Current weight 240.4 Challenge goal weight: 222 Thanks!
  17. There are different BCBS of Texas plans. It will depend on whether or not your employer has included bariatric surgery on your plan. Since it is starting in Feb they may not know all the details although your HR department should be able to tell you.
  18. Weight 12/31 was 242.8....5.2 below my goal! Of course, I had no clue what to project!
  19. Totally agree with having someone who does blood draws all day stick you. However, where I was they would only let them draw blood...not insert an IV. The head RN went to a different floor and "borrowed" a nurse with a reputation of finding difficult veins...and voila he got mine no problem. Thank goodness!
  20. Thanks...I posted there. Guess I got confused amongst the December threads.
  21. Hi...as of today, the 31st...pounds lost since surgery, Dec 10th, 17.4. Total since pre op, 23.4. Thanks again!
  22. As of today, I am down 17.4 pounds since Dec 10 surgery, and 23 including pre op. Again, thanks for tracking all this!
  23. Maybe you could go to the Psych office and pick up a copy. Then hand deliver to the surgeon's office. Get a receipt from them that they got it. The "lost" paperwork is beyond frustrating. I might also mention this difficulty to the surgeon. My doc hates to hear of glitches in the office...takes care of them immediately.
  24. All these docs are so different. Mine said it is okay to use a straw right away...helps to develop your sipping habit.
