  2. Hello ladies! So, I'm on the hunt for a new swimsuit and would love some suggestions! I've lost a little over 100 lbs in the past six month so I have some very unflattering excess skin in my upper thighs that I would like to cover. However, I'm relatively young and don't want to be forced to wear the typical mom swimsuit with a skirt. Any ideas of styles, companies, stores or websites to check out? Thanks a million!

    SWIMSUIT SEASON!

Thanks, ladies! I ended up buying a few suits, shorts and tanks from Land's End. Best part is... They were 40% off!!! Can't wait to hit the pool!

    FRUSTRATED Grocery shopper..

I found Amazon to be very helpful when searching for protein shakes and vitamins. I love bariatric advantage. It's a little pricey but really tasty and formulated specifically for bariatric patients. Bariatric Advantage also carries calcium chews in a variety of flavors (lemon is best!) and vitamins. Their ultra vitamin has everything we need in three pills per day!

    Wearing cpap after surgery?

I also brought mine to the hospital but it was never used. I was instructed to begin using it once I returned. Six months later, I'm still using my cpap but hope once I meet my goal weight I'll be able to do another sleep study and be off of it for good!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Hi Pals! I'm experiencing my first stomach bug since surgery and am just a mess! I'm struggling to keep any calories in and am really only able to tolerate a few saltines and full calorie Gatorade. Both of these go against everything I have been trying to accomplish the past six months and I know this probably sounds foolish but does anyone have any other suggestions on getting any protein in or at least no carbs and added sugar? Please don't think I'm nuts over here... I just know what a slippery slope full calorie drinks have been for me in the past and carbs are definitely enemy #1. The first day of the bug I tried just water and then water with a little crystal lite but the sugar substitute made things even worse. Thanks my December Sleever Pals. I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the warm weather with your skinny, hot bodies!!!

    Portion size and Daily Calories

No more than 1,200 calories a day or 100 carbs and a minimum of 70g of Protein. I was sleeved 12/2 and usually average around 800-1000 calories and 50 carbs. Most important things to remember are keeping your protein above 70, drinking at least 8 glasses of Water per day and taking ALL of your Vitamins. Also, be sure you're getting your blood drawn as instructed as first to ensure you aren't Vitamin deficient. Potassium deficiency can be a real issue. Best of luck to you! If you're on MFP, feel free to add me. xmarycontraryx or my email is maryallisondixon@gmail.com.

Sending positive vibes and prayers your way Sandi. Keep up the positive attitude. You are a very brave woman and an inspiration! Vsg plus hernia repair on 12.12.13 I'm 5'7" tall Dealing with gastritis and suture inflammation -- required to stay on full liquids until mid June (very sad face). I gotta follow doc office orders to heal as soon as possible. I'm praying through this, it's the only way I can humanly endure it. No hunger & no appetite but I want to be normal and be able to tolerate solids ASAP SW: around 235-237 HW last year: about 260 HW ever (2009): 293 CW: 176.4 Hope I don't waste away on this 2 month liquid diet as doc office assures me that won't happen my brand new size 12 pants are All getting too big and I've been having to pull up my size 10 jeans today all day even though I had a belt. I can't imagine shopping for a size 8 anything but looks like I may have to sooner than later. Tops are medium. Boobs getting smaller and smaller and I really don't have much to spare at 36B--- largest bra size for me was a snug 38C but I should have really been in a 40C. CPAP

After losing 90 lbs, I'm wondering if I still need my CPAP. How did you get off yours or know you no longer needed it? Did you have a second sleep study?

    2 lb weight gain overnight

This is going to happen to you over and over and over again. I know every pound seems SO important at first but you really have to learn to love for the big goal at the end.

    CPAP

Oh, Kathy... You always make me smile!!! Congrats on getting rid of the machine! While I have come to love my CPAP, I would love it even more if I could get a good night's rest without it! No more cleaning and filling every night, marks on my face in the morning, nearly choking myself with the cord in the middle of the night and no more ugly machine on my bed stand!!! I think I'll call my Dr. right now and set up an appt. it usually takes a while to get in so maybe I'll lose another 15 before then! Or... Should I wait until I hit goal? I still have another 80 lbs or so to go until I'm a size 2. Thanks, all!
