My Lunch: A Pictorial Attempt To Show You Life Will Be Normal

  • Popular Post

If you consider eating Indian food normal that is :)

So if you're worrying you won't be able to eat or enjoy your food or be normal? Here's what I made for lunch today. Brown rice for the kids, ground beef curry, cucumber/tomato/Greek yogurt salad, palak paneer (spinach. with a homemade cheese). Apart from the rice, all good for us sleevers to eat.

I sometimes see people thinking they won't enjoy food, or that they can only have baked chicken and steamed vegetables. SO not true. I make Indian, Thai, Ethiopian, Greek etc all the time.

What is true however, is that my two kids (23 and 13) and my husband and I all ate--and we finished about a fourth of the food you see here :)

Feel free to post pics of what you're enjoying today that is sleeve friendly.

Our very simple meal tonight. Aidell's chicken habanero sausage and fresh green beans cooked for 3 mins in a pressure cooker. Makes the sausage so tender.

Ummm I was hopping a plane to TX for your dinner!! I just seen the Orange Chicken and added it to dinner next week! lol It looks soooo good

First time adding to this thread! I am six and a half weeks out, cleared for all food by my surgeon. Sometimes I feel like I eat more than many people this far out are capable of. Depends on what it is, some Proteins are much easier than others!

Just love indian foods and afraid I won't be able to eat spivey foods again. I love spicy foods.

I ate sriracha at four weeks out with zero issues! Sleeve doesn't mean hot sauce is off limits, it's a delicious low calorie condiment. Just take it slow and see how you feel :)

I eat food so spicy some Indian people won't touch it. No problem. I eat habanero slices soaked in rice vinegar. I eat sriracha like ketchup. My sleeve is fine.

Whew! I tried habanero hot sauce on my eggs this week at 3.5 weeks out. My sleeve was okay with it, but my colon was not! :). Let's just say I won't need any Miralax this week. Haha!
