Mid-life crisis, anyone?

Recommended Posts

Nevermind. I think I was just having a bad day. Things are looking better as the week goes on, so I'm going to stay positive and keep my eye on the ball. And I'll start running again! :) Thanks to those who responded for not being judgmental.

I need an answer to that question as well. I keep thinking, is this all there is to life? Shouldn't I be doing something more with my life? But what am I supposed to be doing? The older I get, the more I realize the authority figures I thought knew how things were supposed to run, actually turned out to be making it up as they went along.

Wow. it does sound a bit like a mid-life crisis. Really fun, but a little unnerving, I imagine. Have you seen a therapist about what you are going through now? Has your husband been supportive? Have you shared your thoughts with him?

I always find therapy a safe space to work out what seems to go around and around in my head. It sounds like it could help you too.

On a side note, many congratulations on your success and your new hotness! ;)

Im super glad you are having fun but you might want to watch out on all that going out and need for attention- you will ruin your relationship at some point if you keep it up. I say this lovingly.

Maybe you should see someone if you feel it's anxiety related. I agree with teczin

Well, as I said, I've dealt with anxiety issues in the past, and so I can recognize some red flags. I made an appointment to go and talk to someone later this week, so that's probably going to be helpful. It's just such a huge change in self-image over such a short people of time.

Maybe you just need to find an outlet to burn off some energy. If you're happily married and don't want to jeopardize that then I agree that going out without him is a slippery slope. Are you still working out? Cross fit clubs do competitions on weekends...or could your kids' PTAs, sports clubs appreciate a highly educated board member as yourself? Good luck. I've only lost half of what you have but I find myself looking for fun things to get involved in often. I can empathize with having ants in your pants.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
