I am set to have my surgery October 7 . I have so excited to began this new journey of my life. I have always been a big girl but after the surgery I can Finley unzip my fat sute once and for all lol. I have been reading posts that are very incourgeing and hopeful that I have made the right choice for me. I would like a surgery buddy lol....

Hey everyone! I am hoping to be scheduled for an October surgery! I just finished all of the clearences my dr and insurance require. It should be going to the insurance today. My surgeons office says it will only take 1-2 weeks to approve. My biggest thing was getting doctors to submit my paperwork after I saw them to be cleared. At 3 pm yesterday I was still waiting on 3 letters. I went to my gyno about bc and she really upset me by lecturing me about my weight. I called all of the drs I had been waiting on and since I was so upset they sent them all over :-). I can't wait to get this done! I'm more excited for mg husband And my son than myself. I've always had this feeling that I'm not good enough for my hubby because of my weight. He is less than 200 pounds and very fit. He says its nuts and if h felt that way he wouldn't be here but it's still always in the back of my mind. I see all of his friends and their super hot wives and just feel bad for him. I can't wait for that to change!!

Me too!! When do you have to start your pre op diet? I see the nut on Friday so I'll find out then I guess. I'm so excited!!

I start mine on the 7th...whats your pre-op like?

Hey kkelly what did your gyno say about your bc. Idk what I'm gonna do. Can't take the pill anymore after surgery. I've tried the ring hated it. Can't get the shot cuz it causes weight gain. I can't get my tubes tied cuz I work for a catholic hosp and they won't pay for it and I can't afford it help!!

Just got the call....my surgery is October 9.

I ended up with the nuva ring. I saw a new dr and she was horrible. She was like "well if you can't take the pill or the shot I don't know what to tell you because you are too big for anything else" I was very angry. I know women that are bigger than me that have had the ring and the implant. She was just really insensitive and rude.

Lol anyway maybe ill try the Nuvaring again but...ok I'm bout to get personal lol so I apologize...doesn't it fall out when you poop?? That was the problem I had with it. Sorry so personal lol

I have not had this occur....BUT, in the product insert it says if it does happen rinse it off and stick it back in. (FYI I'm like the most constipated human ever since my RNY....we've got some serious effort involved in having a BM and even with all of that I haven't pushed my nuvaring out.)

I'm not sure about that. I'm not supposed to use it until after surgery. (According to said dumbass gyno). I'm going to ask my surgeon when I see him for my scope Thursday if I can go ahead and use it.

And I know right about that being drs excuses for everything!! I broke two fingers by having them smashed by a box that was being handled by someone else at my previous job. Under possible contributing factors the work injury dr wrote obesity.

Omg for real?!?! Wow well obesity no more soon!!! Ya when I tried it before I rinsed it off, etc but dang it that sucks lol! I have GI issues but maybe that will all change after the RNY!! That would be awesome!!!

Hi there, you are scheduled the day before me!!!! Im getting nervous and having a love affair with all of the wrong foods. I start my liquid diet on Friday. Maybe we can support one another through this process.

Day 1 of my 2 week liquid diet. So many choices, shall today be a Slimfast or Carnation Instant Breakfast day?

Charisse were u talking to me?? I'm doing the same thing!! In fact I have a date night planned for Saturday at my fav restaurant! Can't wait lol. It's the last time I will there I just want to enjoy all the foods I can now because I know I will never get them again. I don't start my liquid diet until 5 days before surgery so 10/11. But I will try and help u thru it!! Cuz I'm sure ill need help when I start mine!! we will all help!!!

My last meal is going to be sushi the night before i start my liquid diet which is 4 days before my surgery.

I am scheduled for Oct. 16th.
