Hi everyone! I went to the pool today and did 6 Laos along with my 45 minute Water aerobic class. I have never swam a lap before today! I feel so great about myself right now.

GREAT JOB!!! I am looking for a swimsuit. I currently don't have one that fits. Don't want to spend a lot because I hope to not be in this size by summer. I can't wait to get back in the pool though! Great exercise and refreshing at the same time.

Do you have a costco? I found a suit there really cheap.

I do, but I am not a member. I am a member of Sam's Club. I found one cheap there, but I don't really like it. I hate swimsuit shopping!

Not my favorite, either. I didn't even try it on. I just bought what I thought I could wear and crossed my fingers.

I went to kohls last night because I needed dress pants. My fourteens were too big. I have a pair of jeans in 12 so I started there... I got 10 petites!!!! Yay I am almost to single digit clothes!! My friend told me I was probably an 8 in normal length because petites are smaller all the way around.

WAY TO GO!!! Your friend is exactly right, petites are smaller all the way around - you will wear an 8 in regular misses. You are where I am trying to get. I have about 15 - 20 more pounds to go.

Hey guys it's been awhile since I came on here I just wanted give you guys an update. Everything's going good I recently had to get my gallbladder removed bc of all the weight I've lost I had a pretty quick recovery. I was only out of work for a week so that's good. Hopefully no more surgeries this yr. lol I haven't been working out as much waiting fir the weather to get nicer I dislike winter. Lol I haven't weighed myself since my last check up trying not to get obsessed with it. I lost what I wanted and now I'm trying to maintain it. It was my 8 months post op on the 2/24/14 I'm feeling great, happy, and heathy and I wouldn't change a thing. Gotta keep it moving and never give up!!! I'm currently at 145lbs total lose of 130lbs. Wooohoooo grateful living and loving the journey!!!

Over all 275lbs.

Pre op 258lbs.

Post op currently 145lbs.

You look great! You don't even look like the same person! And you look VERY happy! :-)

Thank you!!

What's up with bathing suit prices? The last time I bought one (probably 20+ years ago) an expensive suit was about $40. Regular price at Kohl's is closer to $100! That's more than I paid for my Calvin Klein winter coat! When did a little bathing suit start costing so much?!!! :-/

Try landsend clearance. They have really well made suits and can be a good buy on sale or clearance. Full price will be 100

I am no longer obese! My goal was to drop my BMI into the overweight category by March 1. I stepped on the scale this morning, and I am there!!! When I began this journey my BMI was over 60. I am now under 30. My weight goal does not take me to a normal BMI, I want to be at a weight I feel I can maintain. I am nearly there. I am flying high this morning!!

I'm so happy for you and proud for you! Know what hard work it takes! What an awesome goal reached! You inspire me :)

Well I have 19.8 pounds to go for me to hit my goal weight, as my weight is now; Im happy where I'am at even if i didn't lose no more. I'm sure i will hit my goal and will be posting new pictures soon. I walk by people that I know and they don't even recognize me and I just smile and say Hello and move on, they kinda of have a bewildered look. Then there's the ones that use to say when they looked at me when I was 478lbs and I hear them say "so disgusting; if i ever get that way I hope someone shoots me". Well the same ones now smile and want to talk but i have no time for those people who live in there perfect world but I make the time for the ones that they turn the cheek too. I will never forget how I felt and I will be damned if I will let someone else say that to someone thats heavy.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
