I hear you. Me too.

Must be that 3-4 week stall I've heard about. I increased my exercise today so hopefully that'll move things along.

I'm almost a week out from surgery and I'm only aloud g2 and chicken broth and sugar free Popsicles. I'm in this diet for another week. And then I do two weeks of puréed food. I'm shocked so many of y'all only have liquid a few days.

I'm still really sore but my doctor says everything is going well.

3 days post op. Came home late last night with a drain. Apparently liquid Percocet is hard to find so they wrote me a script for regular Percocet that I'm supposed to crush. Well let me tell you, I'd rather be in pain than choke down the crushed Percocet. I almost threw up trying to get down one so I've been taking liquid Tylenol and it's working just fine so I'm ok with it. Cvs said they could order it and have it in 1 day, but the pain is so minimal it's not worth the effort to call and get it changed. My goal for the first week is a minimum of 30oz of liquid each day. If its Protein, great, if it's just regular liquids great. I won't really have to focus on my protein until after my post-op follow up in 7 days when I progress to a puréed and soft diet. I've managed 18 oz of crystal light today and now I'm going to work on 8oz of protein for the next couple of hours before treating myself to a sugar free Popsicle or some Jello. Voila! 30 oz in 14 hours. Lol who would ever think it would be so hard to drink so little. No hunger but a little discomfort from gas. Overall I'm feeling good. Looking forward to a little improvement everyday. Good luck to everyone who has surgery this week.

Did I actually have wls cause my scale sure isn't reflecting it. It hasn't moved in a week. Kinda disappointed.

We're packing to move so the first thing I did was pack that stupid scale. I'm just gonna do what I'm supposed too, work on protein/fluid daily, and go by NSVs until I'm better healed. That darn scale was seriously bumming my joy.

I am nervous too. I know I have done everything I can to give me the best chance of the fewest complications. I keep trying to focus on how much better my life will be in a year and at this point trying not to think about what may go wrong.

I am terrified and excited at the same time too... It's such an unusual combination of emotions. It sucks that it takes so long to get to the day... Lots of time to think over all that you are doing and going through and lots of time to over think it!!! So glad it will be over soon and also just beginning!!! I feel like I am getting a do- over. :)

I lost thirteen the first couple of days plus the 22 that I gained at the hospital. I've lost another 2 since then and that's it. So frustrating.

I'm at a loss of 38 with my preop weightloss.... preop i had lost 20 ... and we had surgery the same day so we're pretty close

I can totally relate! It feels like a go in cycles and this is the 400th time around.

I'll be 3 weeks out tomorrow and I haven't lost any in about a week. Very scary and discouraging but I'm just gonna try to be patient!

I have not lost in a week. I have determined to just keep following the plan and pray eventually the loss will kick in. I am out of town this week, and it has been good to not have the scale in front of me to step on every morning. :)

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
