I bought a bike! I went out for a ride, fell ass over tit and lol nearly killed myself (slight exaggeration) i got up, had grazed my elbow, went back home, cleaned and bandaged myself up and am super pumped to go out there again when the weather clears up. 6 months ago a bike was just something other people who were fit had, was not even a twinkle in my eye and now look at me????. Loving life to the max!!

I wore a XL Superman shirt today and my chest and arms filled the shirt more than my belly did! I did not look like a comic con nerd wearing it!

I was walking past our building door which is made out of mirror and didn't even recognize the person in the reflection was me. I finally saw what everyone is talking about how much weight I have lost. Wow scary but nice.

I am wondering if anyone drinks diet pop don't think we are allowed to but how can I stop helpppp!

How far out from surgery are you? I was a total Diet Coke addict before I started on the liquid diet. I tried it about two weeks after my surgery, and I hated it!! now I drink Water and herbal tea. The bubbles in soda are said to fill you up faster and, perhaps, stretch your new stomach. I'd rather lose weight than have a diet coke. ????

I have my moms wedding coming up next weekend in Florida. I realized all my summer clothes from last year don't fit anymore. I decided to do some shopping. Normally I'm sweating like an animal. This time I wasn't. It felt so good to be comfortable trying on clothes. To top it off my general doctor said I no longer need to take my medicine for high blood pressure and diabetes. :D

I posted before but I recently went for a surprise visit to see my family that lives four hours away. I didn't tell anyone I was coming. I hadn't seen my family since probably 3 or 4 months before my surgery and now I am about 3 months out and 63 pounds lighter. When I walked into my grandparents house my grandma almost fell over and my grandpa had started crying. Probably from the initial shock of my showing up but more so the fact that I looked so different. I was glowing and they couldn't stop looking at me and touching me to make sure I was real.

It was so overwhelming and it really really made me feel so proud of myself and my accomplishments!!

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
