Im sticking to liquids for awhile. I've heard from so many people that 4-6 weeks was a really barfy time.As long as I drik and get protein in ( which is tough today) I don't care.

I've thrown up twice now and I'm over 7 weeks out. I found weeks 4-6 fine

I guess we're all different...I just wish I felt better. Just puked my protein :(

Glad we have this group. Protein i wish. i cant seem to choke down fluids or meds. I have zofran but my pouch is so sore from vomiting everything hurts. Tomorrow is a new day.

Yeah, me too. My husband is floating around looking worried, saying, " I didn't know THIS could happen" ( even though I told him it could).

Yuck thank god i havent actually thrown up just was very very nauseas

So I went back to the gym for the first time today since surgery. It felt so good... I don't know if I can type this out and explain it well but here goes. Before surgery there was this machine that you sit in and it works your thighs you spread out your thighs as much as you can and squeeze them back together. Well... When the trainer first had me do this machine I cried because I was so fat I could hardly fit I this machine nd to do the exercise I ha to actually sit in the chair and hold my stomach out of he way to get my legs to be able to squeeze together..., well the good news I sat my butt right in that machine today and doing the excessive when it hit me all of a sudden my stomach wasn't in the way I didn't have to hold it in with my hands I almost cried!!!!! Lol it was a good time hahaha

Yah!!! Nice work. :)

P.s. it's an aducter machine I believe

So today i am super constipated. Sorry for the subject! Took miralax for three days with no results. It has been 6 days since I've went.I am nauseated and have crampy pain in low stomach. Has anyone used a laxative, like ducolax or the like? Is it ok to take that?

Dulcolax is ok to take. Its a stool softner. You need to take milk of magnesia. I would call your doctor they get paid big bucks and make sure its safe to take it. Remember they rerouted our intestines.

So since we are talking about stool is it just mine that are like rocks?

I took some bisacodyl.sp? Hope it is ok, but I had it here at home, and it worked pre op so we will see. I had to do something! The intestine rerouting is what scares me. I'm afraid ill get an obstruction. My stool is also very hard. I take vicodin regularly for back issues so that doesn't help any at all!

I had this problem right after surgery. My surgeon told me that you can't overdose on Miralax and he told me to drink it every 6-8 hours until I went. It worked after a few extra doses. Good luck!

Hello. I'm new to this board. My surgery was 4/29/13. The day I came home from the hospital (day 5) I was down 12 lbs. Now I am at week 4 and my weight is still at 9 to 12 lbs down. Haven't lost anything in 3 weeks, or I actually gain 1-2 lbs. I am getting discouraged because I read all these posts where people lose 20+ lbs in the first month. I am getting all my fluids and protein in. Having some problems with more solid food and constipation. Is it normal to not lose after week 1? I haven't lost any weight in 3 weeks, and on some days my weight is up 1-2 lbs.
