I'll be six weeks post op tomorrow. I can't believe it! But I'm sick. I have a cold or something. It sucks. I never get sick. I have sneezed more today than I have in my lifetime.

You sure six weeks is not today??

Hi al...my love for protein and vitamins is definitely fading...I'll do it though. I seem to do better if I spread my vitamins out. Anyone tried flavorless protein? I'm thiinking of adding it to drinks.

Glad to meet you all! My high weight was 297. CW 259. Surgery date 4/29.

For about two weeks (5-7weeks after surgery) I went thru the same thing except it was vitamins, fluids and protein. I was feeling sick all the time and no desire to eat or drink. Actually had to get iv fluids twice however it passed, thankfully. I use unflavored protein in drinks and foods like soups or yogurt. Even if you use half a scoop in one drink or food then later in the day the other half scoop its a little added protein to your day.

Hi. So I've been MIA for a while but I really need some advice/support. I am 4 weeks post op today but had complications and had surgery for a bowel obstruction last week. I needed up staying in the hospital for four days. I ate almost nothing, I still am eating almost nothing and my weight is still higher than it was after the second surgery. I have absolutely no energy, I never want to eat anything, go anywhere, do anything. And without the "huge" weight loss that is expected with the surgery, I regret my decision almost daily. I don't know about anyone else but I feel pretty alone right now....

You are not alone i had the same thing and understand what you mean by the weakness i am 6 weeks post op. I can tell you that as long as you meet your protein, vitamin and iron your strenght will pick up.
