What ya eating tonight?

I had a small sweet potato, with a tablespoon of i cant believe its butter,

And i boiled a boneless skinless chicken breast. With salt and pepper, curry, garlic powder and some soul food seasoning. After it cooked i put a tablespoon of BBQ sauce to the side so the bites of chicken wouldnt be to dry,

All was good, filled up quick even tho i was slow eating

Had corned beef it was the best thing I've had so far 4 months post op today!

What's up no one eats anymore? ;)

1/2 cup of velvety black bean Soup. Going to the movies tonight and wishing I could have popcorn...movie theatre popcorn is the best :-( I know it will likely be at least a year before that is even possible.

Quinoa w/brown & red rice, sliced almonds, and dried cranberries. :-)

My niece graduated from High School this afternoon. After Commencement we went to Olive Garden. Had their Lasagna Premivera with grilled chicken off their light menu. Ate all the meat (protein first!) and maybe half the pasta, before I was just done. Had about a Tablespoon of salad and half a bread stick. Tasted good though! All in all I feel very good about my choice. Went for a three mile walk when I got home.

You should try a few pieces of popcorn, just chew them up real well.

I ended up bringing a Protein shake and some plain hummus. Not the greatest movie experience without the popcorn. But once I got into the movie I forgot about the Snacks. I was actually considering buying popcorn chewing and spitting- then I realized how ridiculous I was behaving. I'm only 5 days post op so prob not the greatest idea for me to eat popcorn even if it's only a few pieces. Worried about a bowel obstruction or overindulging and stretching my stomach.

I made chili in the crock pot and cooked it a little longer than usual to soften the ground beef a little extra. Also made roast beef in the pressure cooker with carrots and cooked it longer than usual so the beef was soft. Lots of protein & it'll last all week ( unless the family eats it all up quick). I used the beef broth & water that I cooked the roast in and dipped the TINY bites of beef in it to keep it soft, went down great! I can't seem to stomach chicken anymore.

Yes, you're right to NOT have popcorn this early in your recovery. When you're cleared for regular foods you can try a few pieces of popcorn, if you promise to chew them up real good! ;-)

I love the morning star "sausage." 10g of protein! I also like the Boca Burger... It has 15g of protein. Tonight I had baked chicken and a small piece of sweet potato. So far nothing I've tried has agitated my tummy. That's good and a little scary. I almost want my body to reject something's so I stay away from them. I am way too scared and way too gung ho about loosing weight to try sugar or fried foods!

Snap, I seem to be able to eat anything but just much smaller portions. I wish my body would reject sugary foods but it doesn't so trying to stay away from them.
