I am 12 days out and I have an awful sharp pain in my left side, just below one of my incisions. It feels deep inside, not the incision itself. It hurts to cough, bend, and sit. anyone else have anything like this. I'm still on Clear Liquids, so it shouldn't be the food. Just wondering. :(

I go back to work tomorrow! Yay! Not really! Lol. I am enjoying my vacation. I tried milk on its own last night. It was skim. And I felt like crap! Felt like I had to throw up last night and also still feel like it today. I really hope this feeling goes away in time for work tomorrow! It is driving me nuts!

Yay for November people! It seems like most of you are on Protein Shakes. I am 5 days post op and just sf Jello, sf drinks, broth and sf popsicles. Feeling okay but definitely experiencing the head hunger. Thanksgiving was hard!

Peachee' date=' I hear you! Hope you feel better.

I'm siting here in the hospital after my second surgery. I had an intestinal stricture. What a bitch. I was SOOO sick. Nothing would stay down. Horrible gas pains since nothing would stay down. Feeling better now but wow I wish I hadn't done this over the last 24 hours. Hoping things pick up now.[/quote']

Thanks worm!

I'm so sorry to hear you had a bump along the way! I hope you get to feeling better hun.

Thanks ladies for the well wishes! I'm feeling much better now. My only problem is getting in all the Proteins and liquids. My pouch feels super tiny and a shot glass leaves me full for about 20-30 minutes. So it's hard to do the every 15 mins drinking thing. I have my dietician post op appt tues, I'm hoping I can go to puréed foods. It's much easier to get my Protein in that way using unflavored Unjury. I can tolerate Greek yogurt and mashed potatoes with no problem. :)

I hope everyone is doing well!

Head Hunger ugh! Love that! I too have that. I actually have to ask myself if I'm really hungry. So weird! I've also been going through a bit of depression but I'm getting out of the house so that helps. My surgery date was Nov 19 and I'm down 20lbs. Getting anything down is really hard. But I'm hopefully and I keep trying:)

Ooooooo I had the exact same issues! Get out and stay busy. It helps. It took a good week to week and a half to kick. Getting back to work helped immensely!

I completely agree kimmy! But the liquid diet was awesome for me. I was losing 3-4 pounds a day but now on puree food so I am losing 1-2 per day. TG and head hunger was HORRIBLE though. I try to flip it around and amaze myself at how much food had taken over my life. I can't believe my portion size now! Unbelievable.

Hello all! Glad to hear we are all progressing. Today I can switch to full liquids. Scared of milk (Stephanie I'm glad you posted that and good luck at work). May try some lactose free Protein today. The one I have is very thin.

Glad all of you are losing!!! I'm a week from RNY but only three from my stricture surgery so I still look like a Macy's day float lol!

I don't really have head hunger but I watched my hubby make turkey sandwiches yesterday like my dogs do! :-)

I was lactose intolerant before surgery and after I can have them with no issues the same with before I had to have all gluten free stuff as well again I'm good with it. You might be as well maybe not who knows. Congrats in moving forward .

I'm wondering if it is where the stomach is? Mine seems more to the right though. Yes it is a deep tissue pain. It's what is keeping me on light meds now.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
