Protien Drinks And Ebt

Recommended Posts

I understand, the powder along with Vitamins can really break someone. Try the glucerna carb smart shakes. They are coveted like ensure would be. Im sorry. Is there another Walmart you can go to?

Thanks, I'll give those a try. That is the only Walmart I can get to by public transportation.

Call 1-800-Wal-Mart and talk to them. Its considered as a food item and is covered under your SNAP card. Also if you have a Sams or costco card they both accept the SNAP card and you can get the Protein Bars there, shakes and other food or drink items. Even the dollar stores if they have something with Protein will take your SNAP card. You can not use your SNAP card for the Vitamins

Great subject!

I had always been buying my body fortress Protein powder at Walmart with ebt and now all the sudden it's not covered...I spoke to the manager but she was of no help neither was the email to Walmart. Right now I get some Protein in by drinking carnation instant Breakfast so that I don't have to buy the Protein Powder. I wish that they would do something about that because it could get rather costly. I am fortunate not to be so bad where I can't buy the protein right now but that could change and I'm sure plenty of people struggle with this!

Might not be as good as Body fortress but today I bought 2lb of 25g whey protein by PURE PROTEIN with food stamps from walmart. YOU CAN BUY ANY PROTEIN POWDER THAT HAS A NUTRITION FACTS LABEL ON THE BACK

I think I may give it a try. I tried the five star one and my stomach twisted every time I caught the smell of it.

Thanks!

I will see if my nearby walmart carries this one... I have bought the pre made bottles of this brand with ebt there once.

The body fortress does have nutritional facts, and I have bought it with ebt before...not sure why it's a problem now.

I will call to see. I used to buy it at BJs but they stop bringing them in. The other brands they do carry are either not enough protein for the money or are super gross! They do have Protein Bars but not ready for those yet.

Thanks!

If you have access to a commissary, they cover it all.

I advise to buy small packages of Protein to try...your taste buds and tolerance might be different after surgery. When I had my sleeve done, I bought some Protein and ended up throwing it out. This time around some protein powders just don't sit well in my tummy.

I found if you get like the vanilla cream flavored you can add frozen strawberries and cut up a banana and blend it. Tastes pretty good. Also if you don't want the sugar in the fruit get sugar free Jello mix and add just a Tad to each drink. You probably can use the sugar free pudding mixes to. And I use skim milk. Haven't tried with just Water. Not that brave yet

Do you have a Sams or costco card? Or know someone who is a member?

You can go with them they use their card and you can purchase Protein shakes and the powder with your EBT, SNAP, or cash. They have vanilla and chocolate

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
