This Is My Pre Opt Supplies So Far!

Recommended Posts

I brought some PRE Opt supplies today at TARGET! (gotta love target) lol I also found these Portion Plates (2.99) that are SUPER CUTE!! Along with matching cups (.99) and bowls (.99) And I found some adorable lil hello kitty spoons and fork! I brought some "Vitamins for HER buy Nature made" idk if that's okay to have for after surgery hopefully it is but I got them anyway. Someone told me about liquid vitamins. But all I seen were prenatal and baby stuff like Enfamil..One of MY FAVE Protein Shakes is the "Bolthouse farms chocolate shake" so i picked up 3! They are delicious! but anywho how did I do guys for my first shopping trip ??? :) is there anything I'm missing that I should get?

I have the same bowls from Target LOL. BTW make sure your sugar and carb are low on any of your Protein bars and shakes, well actually any food you buy. What kind of sugar is in those bolthouse ones, those look interesting. Don't forget to get small baggies (snack size) and sealable bowls because soon you will always leftovers of everything you eat, pretty much. That's great because I always eat my last night dinner for lunch the next day. This will help you not throw away so much excess food.< /p>

You will need a good blender for your shakes, maybe a food scale (I know I wish I had one but really don't need it until you are a few weeks post-op). How about sugar free Jello, sugar free pudding and sugar free popsicles that you can eat the week after surgery? What about Soups to eat right after, try to avoid cream Soups?

It was overwhelming the amount of stuff I had to buy in preparation for surgery and I did not eat everything, so get small quantities until you know you will need them. I got one box of all the sugar free items and only rebought those that I liked to eat, because remember your tastes change after surgery. For example I loved muscle milk before (Ok love is too strong of a word but liked it well enough) but after surgery I could not gag it down. So buy samples of the different Protein options until you see what your new body will tolerate and like. I will be tossing a big container of Syntrax Protein powder but it is HORRIBLE to me and every sample I have tried is disgusting, but other people swear how awesome it is...LOL.

Anyway good luck!! I am sure there are items I totally forgot.

I love those bolthouse drinks but be aware that they have alot of sugar. DOnt forget to get a sippy cup too...it will help you take smaller sips.

Love the plates!! So cute! I swear by the Ninja for a blender. I got the idea from my BF who had the surgery last year. It is fast and can make snow cones to help get Water down slowly after survery. I am sure there are other good blenders but this is the best I have found.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
