Hi Deaddemmama, where do you get that Protein at? I'd like to try that. I'm sick of the powder and need something new! Thank you!

I have found something fantastic to use. The Labrada nutritional lean body ready to drink.

17oz with 40gm of Protein - 0 sugar - low carb.

strawberry, banana, chocolate, vanilla are the one I get.

I drink two a day and get in 80gms.

I buy them on Amazon. For a 12pk it's around $35 and no s&h. I but three a month and rotate flavors.

I will occasionally buy EAS or Atkins.

I'm so sick of the powders.

I'm six months post-op and from 252 to 192 and just bought a pair of size 17/18 Jeans.

But still diabetic.

I'm loving the unflavored Unjury with icy cold Vitamin water....I mix and put in freezers until foam disappears then fill to the top with diet v8 splash!

I need to try this stuff I here a lot about it. The fact you body only absorbs 20-30 gram of Protein per sitting I try to break it up so I'm not wasting it buy drinking in my shakes. So Maybe this can go in my everyday crystal light...

I primarily use body fortress or premier (my fave).

I will only do whey isolate or concentrate forms. collagen (protein shots) are a huge waste of money.

Be carefully Protein Shakes that have high carbs. They can slow Down your weight loss. Star far away from MLMs like shakeology, body by vi /Visalus, Arbonne. Don't line other people's pocketbooks.

I've been a Isopure fan since surgery. My new is promasil as the sodium is lower than Isopure

I haven't seen my Nut yet so maybe this will be cover, but................

I have seen no one mention Medifast. I have about two weeks left of my supply from my last failed diet. Is it useable or is there something wrong with it? I figured I could use it up during the liquid phase.

You'll just have ask....some docs don't care as long as its low carb/high Protein, some are set on one brand.... Congrats on starting the process! Hope it passes quickly for ya!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
