Baked Flounder or Tilapia

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have a recipe for a good, simple, low calorie recipe for baked flounder or tilapia? All the ones I'm finding on line call for all sorts of special ingredients... I love dill but am not a fan of lemon pepper... Any suggestions would be great!

Actually...just put a little bit of salt & pepper and lemon juice on it...maybe with a little drizzle of olive oil. Make a little "packet" out of foil and throw it in the oven for about 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees.

I do a marinade for my fish tacos that I use on tilapia which is very easy. It is just lime juice, garlic, cumin and dill. I do it by sight but it is around 1/2C of lime juice, and 1-2 tsp of each of the seasonings. I marinate it for just a few minutes, the lime will start poaching it essentially, so I leave it 5 minutes max and it could be baked or cooked in a lightly greased pan. Good stuff.

Get yourself some 5 spice and bake the tilapia with that seasoning. Cooks.com has the recipie my wife and I loved it.

I also bake flounder and tilapia by dredgine the fish in a beat up egg, then sprinkle with seasoned panko bread crums. Bake it in the oven at 350 for about 20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Both taste great this way.

YEP.. that's how I do it.. add a bit of butter.. the lemon juice, olive oil, butter and spices make a great sauce. Switch out tilapia for Salmon and do the same thing. Easy, fast and taste great.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
