I got my date (October 15th) and my insurance approval. I'm excited and nervous. Who else is being sleeved in October?

Im two weeks out now. Doing great overall but started having pain on my right side. Dr said its normal it really suckd. Also got to start eating real foods today. Omg the egg i ate almost made me throw up. My i loved the string cheese. 7 lbs down since surgery.

I was sleeved October 18th by Dr. Garcia in Tijuana. I'm really struggling with ideas of things to eat. Anybody here give me ideas on things you did; especially the first few weeks. Protein ideas please! Please!

I bought the wls surgery cookbook for dummies there is some great ideas in there

Where did you order it?

Congrats to you all you!!! Very helpful post! It's good to learn all you're posting for us pre-op's.

I'm schedule for 11/15/13' date=' starting diet 11/1

I have several inquiries

Anyone a diabetic type 2?

High blood pressure?

Are you off all meds after your WLS?

Are you you able to sleep in your side after surgery?

Do they strap you down on the surgery table! I don't like feeling of being pindown or strapped for anything. Freaks me out

I suffer from anxiety/panic attacks, do they give Meds before surgery to help calm nerves down?

Hello there. I was sleeved on the 22nd and have type 2 diabetes so I thought I would answer your questions. I am also on blood pressure meds as well. Prior to surgery, I had to take 3 pills for blood pressure and 2 pills for diabetes. After surgery, they have reduced each pill by one. I was told they are working on getting me completely off the diabetes meds. It is kind of hard to sleep on the side where they took the stomach out of that incision. It was on the right side for me. They do strap you down. You can ask for antianxiety meds to be put in ur iv to help you during the process. I hope this helps.

Tomorrow is my day too. I'm not sleeping well because of the excitement also. I think the lack of carbs from the pre op diet also has my body in overdrive. Carbs are like a drug to me, make me super sluggish. We'll anyways, we are sleeve twins. I wish you the very best. Prayers up for all October sleevers!
