I got my date (October 15th) and my insurance approval. I'm excited and nervous. Who else is being sleeved in October?

Hi all - I was able to come home last night - felt soooooo good to sleep in my own bed. I'm still tired n doze off every now and again but am feeling pretty good considering. One question - how long post op until you all had a bowel movement? Did u need anything to help you pass it? Oops guess that was 2 questions - pls let me know :)

Mine had been 8 days- used ducolax suppository' date=' worked like a charm! Perhaps TMI but when you fell nauseated all the time like I did still, it was truly the best option!

I didn't have to have anything, you're not getting much solid food in. I started having gas/flatus about 3 days out; so as a Registered Nurse I knew I was okay. Took about a week before I hand a very small BM. Hope this helps.

As of today I've broke the mold I'm below 350 I'm (drum roll) 347 down 37 pounds more pics to come

I have a teaspoon of Benefibre in my breakfast protein drink, and another in my bed time drink. Does the job (!) perfectly :-)

Wow!!! I am so happy for you. I had my sleeve on October 23. I'm so happy

It's official - I am sleeved!! Thank God- I have not had much pain I walking like crazy as I don't want the gas pain - but just as many others have described it - I feel like I have done a million sit ups. I am just on ice chips now - n a bit scared for the change tomorrow.

I started preop appt weight of 259.9

SW 249.8

HW 265

I am 5'2.5"

Good luck n best wishes to those who are getting sleeved tomorrow :)

How are you feeling today?

My date was October 15. I've lost 17 lbs since then (256 to 239). I've been out of work the whole time, and I go back on Monday -- so I'll get some feedback for sure!

Need to shop this weekend: I cleaned out my closet this week, and only have ONE pair of pants and ONE suit for work!!!

Ok so i had he surgery today. Mouth is KKKKerrazzy dry. Teeth sticking to my lips, something's gotta give. Driving me bananas. Have already gone through 4 cups of ice chips and walked around the floor 3X.

Sleeping on and off. I see 4 incisions The one that my stomach was pupped through is very very swollen.

I had lost 10.8 lbs pre-op but on one of my walking rounds, we found a scale. I am 9 lbs heavier!

had surgery today too..dry everything as ell, but was kinda prepared for this. No ice chips just water swabs to keep me from completely losing my mind. I'm so sluggish..

Congrats to you!! Sluggish or sleepy? Whatever they gave me in recovery is knocking me right out. I can fall out on a dime. I have been getting up and going to the restroom alone and will be able to walk alone too!

Congrats how are you feeling?? I have had 4 cups of ice chips and have walked around the floor about 7 times already.

Me too..walking is a breeze . They took my catheter out earlier..so I'm going alone too.
