Anyone hear about a Mexico Bariatric Center patient passing away this weekend?

Recommended Posts

I just called and it is true. A male patient died over the weekend.

I would really urge people to do their own checking when they question something that was posted here, instead of arguing on this site. It took me one call to find out it is true. They said a male patient had surgery and the next morning was up and walking. Soon after he died due to reasons 'not of the doctor's fault'. They claim a blood clot, but at this point are not sure.

Without receiving any details that would invade anyone's privacy, I was told that a patient died from a pulmonary embolism. The patient was recovering well and died suddenly. All are very shaken up by this sad news.

To the op, I would say thank you, but I can't, for many reasons.

Death happens, it happens in Mexico and the USA, it is a risk we all took getting this surgery, no amount of money or research or coordinating companies can change that.

It's important to all having this surgery to know,

It is major surgery and comes with all the risks of any major surgery performed on an less than healthy patient.

My heart goes out to the family of this man,

May he rest in peace.

Listen guys' date=' do I dislike MBC? Absolutely. If you feel differently, that's OK, we don't have to agree on this. All I'm saying is be careful. I'm not on here to start a fight with anyone or to get into a debate. I'm saying this information is out there and all you have to do is search around and you will find it. For those that want it, I'm making it easier for you to find it. I wish everyone luck in their surgery no matter where they have it or with whichever surgeon they choose. If anyone has any questions, I would be more happy to answer them or give you my email if you want to talk privately.[/quote']

Perhaps if you preface your findings a little differently in the future then your relevant info may be better received?

Also, I'm sure you can appreciate your very open and unrestrained disdain for MBC can make your intended message end up being a bit distorted. I too had come across the webmaster issues that ALM and r4ac were dealing with early in my research. It's a shame.

Especially when there have been cases of coordinators and referral bonus patients posting to their own gain.

I'm really sad to find out someone did pass away.

I've been contacted by a few concerned members about this patients death. I have no information and can't substantiate these rumors at this time.

There seems to have been some confusion amongst the individuals that reached out to me. I'd like to clarify that these rumors are referring to Mexico Bariatric Center (MBC) and not Mexicali Bariatric Center (Dr. Aceves.)

I was expecting this post. How sad. You have absolutely NO clue what happened, but already you sweep it under the rug as an 'unfortunate' event. First you jump to the conclusion that the OP had to have been making this up, and now you assume it was an accident.

And yes, research can make a difference! Were compression stocking used during and after surgery? How about blood thinners? Why does this company have multiple deaths in a few months?!?!

In honor of the patient who passed away, let us not make assumptions.

And Alex, these are not rumors. A patient DID pass away.

You are welcome. And ANYONE could (and should if they had questions or doubts) have done that. ;)

Pulmonary embolism is a risk of surgery regardless of who the physician is or where the procedure was done. So sad to hear this.

I did not sweep it under the carpet as a "unfortunate event"! It is TRAGIC! For him and his family, who will forever have to live with this. Wondering if anything could of been done differently.

Please don't assume that you know how I feel,

Because you don't.

I am so glad I didn't have to go to Mexico, because, I'm sorry to everyone that did, but its scary.

And all the "plants" and plugs put out there by people pushing one company/ doctor while putting down the others is enough to make my head spin!

I shouldn't even care! Hell my surgery is done and it was done in the USA.

But I care because I don't want newbies here falling for all these patients saying "pm me ill give you the real deal"

We have verified the passing of this patient.. OP is claiming more deaths through MBC in the past few months. These need to be verified as well... If it is true we need to know names of doctors and cause of death.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
