I am in the very early stages of the procedure (pyche eval done and first nutrition class on Tuesday) - I am excited about the possibility of getting my life back but also a little scared of the unknown. I have fought this weight all of my life and I am so tired of the fight - please tell me it is all worth it?

It all depends upon what the doctor's program requirements are....you should ask them.

YES you do. Self pay or not this is a life changing event, and changes the rest of your life. Psych Eval is a REQUIREMENT.

I'm self pay as well - my surgery is in the US. I still had to do psych eval, blood work, etc. They were required by my surgeon as a precaution.

DAY 2 OF MY LIQUID DIET WAS YESTERDAY AND I'VE GOTTEN UP 4 TIMES TONIGHT TO PEE!!!!! I DIDN'T EVEN DRINK ALOT LATE IN THE DAY
