  7. Hey! My surgeon was dr Broderick-villa. I'm feeling awesome! Glad I went through the process. Best and seems like the first thing I've truly ever done for my self! I started April this year..and surgery was October. Confusion with going to wrong old old insurance and I didn't know until end of August slowed me down! But once I got that part straightened out I got my approval in less than two weeks! My three month appt is next month..and am curious what I've been up to!
  8. Hey. I had my surgery 10/21/13 at Summit in Oakland . Love my surgeon! Great program there as well. I have follow up next month! Best journey to you both!
  9. First day back to work! It's was refreshing to kind of start with a clean sheet. I'd been gone for 6 weeks.. Surgery was 6weeks ago today! Down two dress sizes..and it was funny trying to read reactions. I got a few that said you look so good.. The two people, that knew what was going on..were really praising the healthiness and happy for me! The people that didn't know..well I gave them a new hair style to be surprised by as well. So it was funny to hear..oh you look so rested and relaxed! Your hair is great. Side note on the hair..I got it in a really short curly style...because my hair started to shed!!! however it's been a good change..I'm trying something completely different! And you know what..once you have had your stomach rearranged..or modified.. A hairstyle is extremely simple! All in all it was interesting to get the reaction..or I'd say the you look so relaxed...reaction! Happy first days to you all!
  10. I'm not exact of cause..but my shedding just started..got a roller set yesterday so I can stay out of it...and I cannot sit for braids! Lol. Not right now. I guess I'm going to know how well staying out of it will work. My stylist said she can see a difference. Irony is hair length is still growing, but shedding like a cat! Probably the natural styles will feature high for me soon!
  11. ditto, I go back Monday since Oct 18th! I just pulled on pants two sizes smaller..and I was shocked..so I know others will zero in on some marked changes in my face and body as well! I work with a mix if me and women and I am curious how they will handle any curiosity too!
  12. Had my 1month post op appt with my surgeon... Down 7lbs.. I really don't like purée and glad to see the end of that phase! On to soft foods. Yippee! Now to work on getting protein in! Always work! Somehow I now have low blood pressure..and need to incorporate salt into my life! Whatever it takes!
