Another place you can get plastic surgery done at a reduced rate is through teaching university hospitals. The work is performed by a resident but under the guidance of a board certified physician. Washington University has such a program. A few years back I checked on a Tummy Tuck post band surgery and the cost was under $4,000 for the whole procedure including hospital, anesthesia etc. I am not sure if my insurance will cover this procedure.

I followed all the guidelines from my insurance. The coordinator at my office took care of the rest. I had to see a nurse practitioner for 3 months in a row to document infections and skin breakdown. And that was about it. I was denied once and the coordinator appealed and i was approved.

What is skin breakdown?

What is skin breakdown?

Skin breakdown is sores and irritation from skin rubbing together.

Update: surgery was Tuesday. Doc said surgery went amazing and she took off about 5lbs of skin. Left hospital Thursday afternoon. Drains came out yesterday. Looking pretty good so far. Need to keep the binder on for the next month. Still taking pain meds here and there. Going back to work Tuesday night. This will so be worth it after the pain and swelling goes away. Once i can stand up straight ill post before and after pics.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
