  11. I had one and it didn't hurt. I was worried it would hurt when they removed it, but nope, not at all
  12. I loved eggs before surgery and thankfully that hasn't changed I'm 2 months post op and eat eggs a couple of times a week. I started at 2 weeks out....scrambled with a little shredded cheddar....no problems....nothing had ever tasted so good!!! I now do scrambled or hard boiled, but have not tried a fried one, yet.

  15. I'm only 8 weeks out, but there have been definite changes: *fitting into smaller clothes *walked all around the state fair Friday night, without getting out of breath and without hurting *fitting into restaurant booths better *feeling better overall Loving my sleeve!!!

  19. I don't know if you're low on iron, but I'm 8 weeks post op tomorrow and I freeze all the time since my surgery Like you, I used to be hot natured, but not anymore!
  20. I was on the pill, but my doctor took me off of them in November due to age and blood pressure. My blood pressure has been great since surgery and I could probably go back on the pill, but I've been looking into the Essure procedure. I'm 41 and do not want to have any more children at my age. My son is 18 and I would be starting all over again....no thanks
  21. When did you have the Essure done? I'm considering doing that, but don't know anyone that has actually had it done.
  22. My teeth definitely do not feel clean, even right after brushing. It's disgusting!
  23. My vision was blurry for the first 3 or 4 days after surgery.
  24. I haven't been back to the pool since surgery, but my surgeon actually told me it was okay to do so the day he released me from the hospital. Said I didn't need to wait. My incisions were glued, so I don't know if that makes a difference or what.
  25. I'm one month post op and right now for my lunch/snack I take things like boiled eggs (sometimes I throw away the yolk), egg salad, chicken salad, string cheese, cheese cubes, yogurt, pepperoni slices, and quest protein bars. I have access to a microwave/fridge, but right now I use a lunch bag and containers that both have ice packs. This might be something you can look at getting since you don't always have access to the fridge. And as you can see, I don't take anything that needs microwaving. Hope this gives you some ideas
  26. One month post op and I have those days. On the one hand, I'm glad I'm not always thinking about food now, but on the other there are some days where I forget to eat. Yesterday, around 3:30, I realized I hadn't had anything to eat all day; even then, I could have cared less if I ate or not, but I did make myself eat something. Skinny in Here, I'm right there with you on the Protein drinks. I started drinking them a few months before my surgery, on the recommendation from NUT, and I actually liked them. Now, I try to drink them some days, in order to get all my protein in, but it's a chore and I usually don't finish a whole one. I just can't stand the taste now. Sometimes, I will make my own in the blender with fruit/veggies and add some Protein powder to it, but still not my favorite thing
  27. Ugh...thanks for the heads up!
  28. Creekwood Apartments are at 83rd & Memorial.....not too far from the store location either
