I still enjoy cooking and eating. Just eat so much less now. Love it!

One month post op and I still have no appetite. Hunger pains remind me to eat. Nothing I am allowed to eat tastes good except Blue Bunny sugar free fudge bars and sugar free popsicles. I am getting in my Protein and my calories, but not because I enjoy it. Protein Drinks have long lost their appeal. I'm getting most of my protein and calories from cottage cheese and Protein Bars, occasionally some almond butter and PB2.< /p>

One month post op and I have those days. On the one hand, I'm glad I'm not always thinking about food now, but on the other there are some days where I forget to eat. Yesterday, around 3:30, I realized I hadn't had anything to eat all day; even then, I could have cared less if I ate or not, but I did make myself eat something.

Skinny in Here, I'm right there with you on the Protein drinks. I started drinking them a few months before my surgery, on the recommendation from NUT, and I actually liked them. Now, I try to drink them some days, in order to get all my Protein in, but it's a chore and I usually don't finish a whole one. I just can't stand the taste now. Sometimes, I will make my own in the blender with fruit/veggies and add some Protein powder to it, but still not my favorite thing :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
