    Ladies after surgery...

I had one and it didn't hurt. I was worried it would hurt when they removed it, but nope, not at all

    Eggs!

I loved eggs before surgery and thankfully that hasn't changed I'm 2 months post op and eat eggs a couple of times a week. I started at 2 weeks out....scrambled with a little shredded cheddar....no problems....nothing had ever tasted so good!!! I now do scrambled or hard boiled, but have not tried a fried one, yet.

    The Difference!

I'm only 8 weeks out, but there have been definite changes: *fitting into smaller clothes *walked all around the state fair Friday night, without getting out of breath and without hurting *fitting into restaurant booths better *feeling better overall Loving my sleeve!!!

I don't know if you're low on iron, but I'm 8 weeks post op tomorrow and I freeze all the time since my surgery Like you, I used to be hot natured, but not anymore!

advice on birth control please :-)

I was on the pill, but my doctor took me off of them in November due to age and blood pressure. My blood pressure has been great since surgery and I could probably go back on the pill, but I've been looking into the Essure procedure. I'm 41 and do not want to have any more children at my age. My son is 18 and I would be starting all over again....no thanks

When did you have the Essure done? I'm considering doing that, but don't know anyone that has actually had it done.

    Any Oklahoma Sleevers

    Good luck!
  8. My teeth definitely do not feel clean, even right after brushing. It's disgusting!
  9. My vision was blurry for the first 3 or 4 days after surgery.
  10. I haven't been back to the pool since surgery, but my surgeon actually told me it was okay to do so the day he released me from the hospital. Said I didn't need to wait. My incisions were glued, so I don't know if that makes a difference or what.

    Snacks and Work Lunch Ideas

I'm one month post op and right now for my lunch/snack I take things like boiled eggs (sometimes I throw away the yolk), egg salad, chicken salad, string cheese, cheese cubes, yogurt, pepperoni slices, and quest protein bars. I have access to a microwave/fridge, but right now I use a lunch bag and containers that both have ice packs. This might be something you can look at getting since you don't always have access to the fridge. And as you can see, I don't take anything that needs microwaving. Hope this gives you some ideas

    I loathe food!

One month post op and I have those days. On the one hand, I'm glad I'm not always thinking about food now, but on the other there are some days where I forget to eat. Yesterday, around 3:30, I realized I hadn't had anything to eat all day; even then, I could have cared less if I ate or not, but I did make myself eat something. Skinny in Here, I'm right there with you on the Protein drinks. I started drinking them a few months before my surgery, on the recommendation from NUT, and I actually liked them. Now, I try to drink them some days, in order to get all my protein in, but it's a chore and I usually don't finish a whole one. I just can't stand the taste now. Sometimes, I will make my own in the blender with fruit/veggies and add some Protein powder to it, but still not my favorite thing

    Better than myfitnesspal?

I have used sparkpeople in the past and really like it. I started using MFP a couple of weeks ago....the only thing I really like about it is that it has the barcode scanner, which sparkpeople does not. So far, there hasn't been anything I've scanned that hasn't been in their database. But, as I said, it's really the only thing that keeps me using it. I might have to check out the caloriecount and lose it apps to see if I like those better.
  16. Sorry, read it wrong.....realized you said two five hour days.....but I would still stop during the five hour drives at least a couple of times to get up and move around.
  17. You are probably going to need to stop more than once during a 10 hour drive.....doctors like you to walk some every hour to help prevent blood clots. Good luck on your surgery

    13 days post and gulp

Well, I don't know if it's normal but I've been able to do that for a while....I'm 4 weeks post op today.

Are There Any Single Sleevers Out There..

I think that was supposed to be a good thing
  21. Of course, the scanner function is when using your phone
  22. You can use MyFitnessPal to help you track...website and there's a smartphone app. I like that when you add a food you've eaten, you can actually scan the bar code on the packaging and it will pull it up. I haven't had anything yet that wasn't in their database. It makes tracking sooooo much easier.
  23. I have one of those....we went to Branson in July....we took a boat out on the lake and my sister took a pic of me, without my knowledge....it is HORRIBLE!! Definitely my worst before pic and most definitely one NO ONE will ever see.

I will be 3 weeks out Tuesday and I've been able to drink pretty easily and quickly since about 1 1/2 weeks out with no problems.
