Anyone else getting sleeved in August?

Recommended Posts

First day post op and I can not tolerate ice chips....are these things making anyone else nauseous?

I'm 4 days post op and ice chips were the worst!! I didnt think i would get any liquids in fooling with the ice chips. Small sips of room temp Water helped immensely. Best of luck to ya!

Oh girl. I hear you -- anything too cold gives me spasms and I can't do it! Warm things -- broth, Soup -- or room temp things are a must.

I was sleeved 8/6 and try to eat regular food per my doc, and after 2 oz of Protein my head hurts and face gets hot, and chest gas pain, so odd.

Re: Protein.

Has anyone tried skimmed milk? My surgeon's nurse practitioner said its good for getting protein in. I have a latte for Breakfast daily and add milk powder to my Soups. It's working for me...

So glad you told me about the powdered milk, its so easy to add to soups and potato and carrot mash, just made it taste creamy, I have about 3 coffees made with milk aday :-D

All except one of them. I think its called dexilant or something but the doctor said I wouldnt start taking that one until the 30th after the 1 week follow up. How's your pain level?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
