Shedding/thinning Hair!
I am just over 3 months out and just started shedding, I have think hair to begin with. I have been taking Biotin for over 6 months now, I am getting 60 grams of protein a day, I truly hope it stops, I am terrified. I did have new hair growth just from taking the Biotin for so long, and those little hairs are falling out. I am due to go to the salon for my hair dye, and I may put it off for now. I lost 40 pounds 10 years ago, and did not experience hair loss at all.

What is the honeymoon period
I still get cravings, surgery was 8/6. More now than before, but I ignore them and go to the right food. It does not take it all away, most is mental. You will be less hungry, and eat way less. It does not take away hunger, when you eat you will eat a very small amount and feel full, unlike before when you may have had a plate or two like me It is the best thing I ever did.

2 weeks out - first day on soft foods!
I had my surgery on 8/6/2013, I am still rarely hungry and when I eat it is a couple spoons and full. I do not over due it, or I feel sick. It is so awesome though, to not eat plates of food. I start with my protein and if I have room for veggies I eat some, but get so full fast. I eat 4-5 small meals a day, including snack like 8 almonds, or cheese stick.

Would you do it again?

veggie woes
I am 8 weeks tomorrow, and I too feel like I do not get enough veggies in, I focus on protien then after that I am full. I try to have a lil spinach, or green beans with dinner, but I am so worried about protein intake I make that first priority. I hope I will be able to eat more eventually.

The best so far, I have it everyday is Syntrax nectar Capaccino, it is amazing. I add milk, coffee, and ice and blend.- Pulmonary function and ABG
Yes, It was not that bad. The ABG hurt like hell, but was fast.- Is it normal?
I am almost 7 weeks out and rarely get hungry, I eat to get my protien in that si all. So different now, I eat to live, not live to eat, it is so awesome. My stomach growls, but I do not feel hungry. I eat 4 small meals a day, like 3-4 oz mostly protien, and veggies if I can fit them in too.- Unflavored Protein Powder
I have Isopure, and it is okay. I had it today in a shake with stawberries, fat free milk, and a banana. I do not think any of them are great tasting, you need to mask it by using strong flavors with it.- week 2
I know hwo you feel, I too have friends and family who eat all the time and that is what we did for fun. I still go out with them, and enjoy but just eat soup or something healthy. It is all mental I am going through this now, you want to eat it but can't. I am now just starting to not crave those things, and cant imagine hoe I ate so much just 6 weeks ago. How life changing is this- is this normal
I am 5 weeks out too,and I am about the same. Anything soft is much easier, I make think it gets easier as we heal more.- 1 month post op..need suggestions!

I make it the night before put in frig and ready to go in the morning so good, and 48 grams of protein.- Soup!
