  16. I stuck with my surgeon's plan to a T. Too much at risk and took a lot of work to get this far. It is only a short amount of time. Do not give in! You are strong!
  17. At my 2 week check up, I was released for hot cereal.

  19. You may have to set some ground rules because that is not cool. I don't know where you are in your journey, but preop and postop, you will have special nutrition needs that must be exclusive to you. You do not want someone to ruin your efforts. Just my 2 cents.
  20. I had the issue of "you don't even want a glass of water?" Now, I just order a glass and push it away to save the headache/embarrassment. You learn to pick your battles.
  21. My protein was part of pre op diet. You will be on shakes for a few weeks before and after surgery to help get to the recommended level - typically 60 g per day.
  22. Keep your eye on the prize! It will tough over the next few days, but you can do it!

  26. Pretty neat app! Ty for sharing! Is it wrong that I set my sound to "oink"?
  27. Great job! Keep rocking that sleeve!
  28. Day 3 was the hardest! I've used Premier Protein all along. They are tasty but get old after a few weeks. I have learned to appreciate why my dog always looks depressed when I feed her the same thing day in and day out!
  29. I lost 28 lbs on 2.5 weeks. It was tough, but I kept my eye on the prize!
  30. So did he have gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy? The story states both procedures. Just curious to know which one. I've heard of the sleeve being introduced at the pediatric level, albeit not quite this young, but this could be a normal procedure to help curb obesity specifically in the US.

    1. Riding on rides at amusement parks with my kids. 2. Being able to tie my shoes without gasping for air. 3. To run in a 5k. 4. To get in a booth at a restaurant without feeling like a sardine in a can. 5. To fly without having to ask for an extender. 6. To have a high self confidence when in a meeting.
  32. I lost 28 lbs during pre-op diet. I was on it for 2 1/2 weeks. It is tough at first, but stick to the plan and you will be good to go!
