  1. My surgery is schedules for tomorrow morning as well. I am excited! Good luck
  2. Mine is 10 days but only 4 of all liquid. The first six are high protein and low carbs. I never realized how much I LOVE carbs.
  3. Thanks and good luck to you as well! How's your pre-op diet going?
  4. I agree that a new, much better life begins. I just meant that life as I know it now is over, and thankfully so. You all did great on your pre-op diets! Hope you are continuing to have great success!!
  5. I am a teacher in Mississippi. So I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi - State plan
  6. Hopefully, you will get a very speedy approval. My paperwork work was submitted on a Tuesday morning and I was approved by the next afternoon. Good luck
  7. Life as I know it officially ends in the morning. I begin my pre-op diet. Thankfully it's not all liquid for the entire 10 days. I am super excited and ready to begin! How much weight did y'all lose on your pre-op diet?

  9. My surgery date is October 1st! I go for my all day education seminar tomorrow to learn all about the pre-op diet which is for 10 days prior to surgery. Thankfully, only 4 of those days are all liquid. I'm very excited but anxious at the same time. I was not an overweight child but after getting married at 16, gained 100 pounds the first year. Being overweight is all my "grown up" self knows!

  11. I'm not. I live in Mississippi
  12. Thank you. Weight loss surgery is something I thought about 20+ years ago but did not feel comfortable doing the gastric bypass. Looking back I regret all the fun times I have missed out with my children but so looking forward to making wonderful "active" memories with my grandsons!
  13. My insurance required 6 months of a medically supervised diet. But all companies are not the same

  15. Tomorrow begins the first day of the rest of my life with my all day educational seminar. I am super excited but sometimes get a little overwhelmed thinking about all of the lifestyle changes. When I began my required 6 months o medically supervised doctor appointments on March 18, I never dreamed the time would fly by so quickly. My insurance required a lot of "jumping through hoops" but everything was submitted on a Tuesday morning and I was approved on that Wednesday afternoon! I was expecting it to take between 2 weeks and 2 months. So I'm actually ahead of what I planned. I have several friends who have had tremendous success with the sleeve which excites me even more!! Praying that I can stick to this pre-op diet and make necessary life changes.
  16. My date is October 1 in Tupelo, MS. I go Wednesday for my all day education seminar. I am very excited but a little anxious about the unknown.
