October 1 Surgery Date

Tomorrow begins the first day of the rest of my life with my all day educational seminar. I am super excited but sometimes get a little overwhelmed thinking about all of the lifestyle changes. When I began my required 6 months o medically supervised doctor appointments on March 18, I never dreamed the time would fly by so quickly. My insurance required a lot of "jumping through hoops" but everything was submitted on a Tuesday morning and I was approved on that Wednesday afternoon! I was expecting it to take between 2 weeks and 2 months. So I'm actually ahead of what I planned. I have several friends who have had tremendous success with the sleeve which excites me even more!! Praying that I can stick to this pre-op diet and make necessary life changes.

My insurance required 6 months of a medically supervised diet. But all companies are not the same

Congratulations on making it through this part of your journey. Wishing you good luck for tomorrow, and good health for your new lease on life.

Thank you. Weight loss surgery is something I thought about 20+ years ago but did not feel comfortable doing the gastric bypass. Looking back I regret all the fun times I have missed out with my children but so looking forward to making wonderful "active" memories with my grandsons!

are you in san antonio texas ghii3??

I'm scheduled for Oct 1 also. Good luck on your end.

Mine is 10 days but only 4 of all liquid. The first six are high protein and low carbs. I never realized how much I LOVE carbs.
