How to display "My Surgeon"

I notice that many members display their surgeon's name on their posts, on the left hand side, with the heading "My Surgeon." How do I get that to display instead of just "see patient profile"? Thanks!

I go http://www.verticals...ns&area=surgeon and type in my surgeon's name. Nothing ever autofills and I am not given any suggestions. I can see that something is trying to happen because each time I type, I get a green rectangle with three white boxes flashing at the top of the screen, but other than that, nothing. When I type in his name, I click save, the page refreshes and his name is gone.

I wish I could screencap the green rectangle for you, but it is animated and I can't get it.

I tried turning my adblocker and pop-up blocker off to see if this changed things, but it didn't.

Hope this helps.

ETA: I fixed it! I switched from using Firefox to IE to do this and it worked (as you can see). I hardly ever use IE but apparently it plays more nicely with this feature than my beloved Firefox does.

Thank you so much for letting me know how you were attempting to enter your surgeon. You provided exactly the information we need to troubleshoot and resolve this issue!

My surgeon is Dr. Michael Peters in Newark, DE and he used to be on my profile along with his picture, but as soon as I went to enter a review for him today, the whole "My Surgeon" section of my profile completely vanished. Please help :)

I added your surgeon for you.

You forgot "Illan" (the name most people would use in a search for him, I'm assuming), so I tried to fix it. Now it's gone.

Here is the link to my surgeon's profile: http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/surgeons/1527-michael-peters/ I would really appreciate it if someone could help me add it, as I have a really good review for him. I've tried three times using Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer, and it's not working.

The Illan is in there, just to long of a name for the display. If people search, it will come up.

I had the same problem, but after reading the posts, I went back, tried it again and it finally worked. I can't say how I did it.... just tried clicking on different things till I got the drop down. That was it.

Hi Susan,

Thanks so much for trying to fix this for me; unfortunately, it's still the wrong profile for Dr. Peters. The one I was trying to link to is this one (his newer one that has his updated information and picture): http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/surgeons/1527-michael-peters/

Thanks so much for your help!!

When you start typing it, the name should contain a dropdown with their name. Try altering their name a little, for example if I type "Doctor Nick" it doesn't work. But "Nick" does:

Try this---go to My Patient Profile. he on the left will be a tab My Surgeon. You enter their name there.

I am trying to post on here and I can't. Please help

I was finally able to add mine, but it wouldn't come up using a first name. I had to type his last name first...

I can't get my surgeon's name to show either. It is Dr Jennifer Perkins, Fort Bragg. Every time I try to type it in, it changes it to Jennifer Griffith. I delete that and it saves as nothing. I am having a problem with my story entry and my ticker. they all show under my profile but do not show elsewhere. I did set it for public. ideas?

I just joined today, wrote my surgeon's name in (Dr. Geoffrey Nadzam from New Haven CT) and wrote a review about him. My profile says my surgeon is "Catari" in Wisconsin.

This is obviously an issue for some of our members and would appreciate a little info in order to resolve this problem.

When you are trying to select your surgeon, what, exactly if you don't mind, are you doing?

Step by step please.

Are you completely typing the surgeons name?

Does your browser auto complete his name?

Do you click on his name once our system delivers it as a suggestion?

What type of device are you using (computer, smartphone, tablet etc.)
