Hi All.

Mary - you feeling any better yet? I have the raging fever BACK today. :sick Oh joy... Hope you and the boys are well. My Dad was feeling poorly enough that he went to the doctor to get checked up (My Mom probably forced him to go...) - and they put him through a flurry of tests. As my elder sister pointed out - he had his first heart attack 30 yrs ago and his danged heart has been trying to kill him with some frequency ever since... but he had been seemingly well for quite a while.

Kat - I hope you are feeling better. DH has my cold now, too... and while I thought I was pretty much done, I am sitting here at my desk shivering in a sweater. I hope your creeping crud is over soon. As tempting as it is to ignore it and go on about your life, LIE DOWN. I never did - and the darned stuff won't go away! :cry Hugs!

Mandy - if you tried to "Do In" the 6 foot mouse - the police would chase you out of the park.... :] Oh geez. You are motivated... I need to lose 19 lbs by Feb. 6. I should be getting on top of that - but I have been wallowing in my illness. Yesterday, we had Tomato Soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner - and I ate 2 stinkin' sandwiches. I have a very hard time being motivated when I feel like crud. :phanvan *whine, bitch, moan* Oh - I voted for your friend last night - but I think I am still inside my 24 hours cause it won't let me vote again. I will try to hit it again tonight before I leave.

Sherry - Now I am going to have to put the decorations up on MY tree, huh? :rolleyes *sigh*

Cindy - Thanks for the prayers. I am sure we can all use all the help we can get. :nervous Wow - you are only minutes away from 6 geese a laying (it is geese, right?) Anyway, the day after tomorrow I will be able to join in the countdown with the proper level of confidence: FIVE GOLDEN RIIIIIINNGGGS!!!! :] Oh - and there is not much going on in the glorious world of mortgage lending. Truly, it is quiet and slow. BORING.

Jules - we are going to have to have a get together for those of us folks up North. I am in Allen, by the way. Maybe we can all meet in Lewisville or The Colony or something. :)

Cass - Congrats on the Engagement!! :kiss2: Long Live True Love. You will have to fill us in on all the fab plans. Getting married right away? Or will you have a long engagement? Gosh, that is SO exciting!!

Patty - How you doing, honey? Any final word on the approval, yet? A surgery date? I am pretty excited for you. :)

Pat - how are you doing? I haven't seen any fab pictures of your decorated house, yet? You putting up all your pretties? :D Hugs!

Betty - Compliments from the Boss?!? Wow! That's great. It's always nice to hear that you are doing the job right. Gold stars for getting the decorating done! :clap2:

Dianne - hope the blues are keeping you down too much. ;-) Hugs!

Eileenie - Hope you are feeling a little bit better, hon. Hugs!!

Chris - you studying? Good! Hugs!

Darcy - how's it going? Hugs!

Anne - Did you get all that holiday stuff done? Hugs!

Ira - how go the holiday preparations? How is your lovely DW. Hope you and yours are well. Hugs!!

Well - I have to get back to the old grind. With any luck, I will be able to take off a little early so I can go home and snuggle down.

TTL

I would love to get together, Beanie. I have 5 free weeks after my finals this week. I am going to be in heaven. lol I plan on hitting the library and reading a lot!!! Of course I am going to have to start exercising too. I have not really had time with school and work, but now there aren't any excuses. I think I am ready to boost the weightloss anyway.

Take care everyone.

Congratulations Cass!!! Thats fantastic news and do let us know ALL about the wedding plans as they come along.

Cindy...wowza girl time is flying by!

I've got the next 3 days off to clean the house, finish up the Christmas shopping and get it all wrapped. Hmmmm already got tomorrow planned though UGH. Dentist in the a.m. then to the bariatric doc in the afternoon. Don't think I'm going for a fill considering I just lost my dinner BLECK! I think TOM is around the corner and things are tighter than I thought and BINGO grrr just hate that. liquids for me tomorrow I guess. So maybe I'll get the cleaning done in between visits. Problem with going to Boston for my bariatric appointment is it's at 2:30 have to leave here at 1, see the doc and the nutrionist then head home during commuter traffic...won't be home until after 6pm. LONG DAY! Oh well I'll have two more after that :)

Hope everyone is doing well. Miss ya all...sorry I haven't had time for personals but, I'm thinking of you all.

Good Morning Y'all!

Sorry I didn't make it here yesterday, been really busy. Then by the time I check out and get rid of all the spam/porn threads I'm even more tired. WTF, do they really think we want to read that crap on a WL thread?

Cass - Congrats to you! We'll have a lot of fun giving you lots of ideas!:):D

Sherry - Glad you got some time off work! Now, use just a little of it to relax a bit huh?

Beanie - I understand the eating part! I'm not sick, don't have an excuse, but yesterday all I did was eat junk food. They brought so much stuff to the office yesterday, and I picked and picked till I couldn't even eat my lunch! Cookies, candy, cheese, crackers, just plain junk food! I could kick my own self in the a$$!

Dianne - Sweetie, sure hope you are feeling better! Just know we are with you, holding your hand and listening to you!:)

Eileen - So sorry about your friend. How are you feeling now?

Cindy - Gosh, that time is getting here fast! I wish it was me!:D :D :D

Kat - A lot of the same people at work are catching that dang stuff 2-3 times. Make sure you are getting your Vitamins in you!

Jules - I am in Grand Prairie, not too far from you! Yes, we'll have to all get together when it gets nice out.

Pat - How are you feeling? Are you still sick? Fill us in Sister!:D

Patty - What's the latest? Come on spit it out we all want to know when the big day is.

Anne - Are you still stringing popcorn? :D :D :D

Chris - Studying? Hmmmmm I missed it, what are you studying?

Mandy - Any more mice for you?

Mary - How are you feeling? Hope you get well soon so you can do that test!

Darcy - How is the unfill doing? Is it helping you at all?

Well, got to run, want to check out the board a little and get dressed.

Hello Everyone! Sorry that I really havent been posting that often here...I really have been rather withdrawn lately, I have been feeling this way for a few weeks now...

I wanted to get your advice on heartburn. I have begun to eat "normal" food about two weeks ago and everything has been going fine. However ever since last night I have had really really bad heartburn. I have been taking pepto bismo for it which really hasnt helped at all yet...but I am stuck at work right now and I really cant do anything else about it. It almost feels like something is stuck in my esophogus, but it just burns really bad....any ideas???

Cassie, I would see about an appointment with my Dr. plus try going back to liquids for a day or so. You may have irritated the esophagus and pouch when you began eating, or with something in particular you ate, and now it is begining a cycle of the pain anytime you eat. You may require some prescription antacids...let us know!

Yes, Cass...try really mild, not acidic, liquids for a day or so, then mushies. Do you have any milk allergies or anything like that? Another thing to be careful of is how much you eat at one time. Remind yourself that you can eat again later if you are hungry. I know some doctor's say to eat 3 meals and no Snacks, but that hasn't worked out for me. I am more of a 5-6 small meals, spread throughout the day, person. I hope you feel better!

Today's verse: "Six geese a laying...." !!!!!

Tomorrow is the party. I don't have to pick out anything special to wear, because it's "jeans week" and it's a very casual thing. I am more worried about busting into tears...I get emotional like that, but I usually hold it back. I hope I can at least not get fully blubbery! I have heard that a few of my old cohorts will be coming, and I am excited to see them!

Otherwise, the same old, same old. When am I going to wrap the gifts????? Make the Cookies? Whew!

Did I tell ya'll DH and I are taking DD to Trans-Siberian Orchestra this Saturday? It's part of her Christmas present....I'm excited about going to that, and so is she!

Be back later...hugs!

Cindy

Cute one Mandy lol

Vegge - I saw my surgeon today and I told him it seems that I get Acid reflux just before my period is due. I think it's because I retain Fluid and it makes things tighter. He explained that if things are too tight that the acid can't freely flow back down to the lower stomach portion. He said if it happens more than just this time of month and more than 2 days in a row that I probably need a slight unfill. You definately DON'T want to fool around with this. Call your doc. Let him/her explain to you the complications that can happen if you have it too often. I got pretty scared and will definately watch it for myself. Good luck and I do hope you feel better. I use the Tums smooth melt tablets and they help me quite a bit.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
