And I always eat slowly and take 20 minutes at least to eat every meal... And I don't drink 1/2 an hour before or an hour after each meal... But my main problem is being 28 and going out drinking with my friends... I have never been so aware of the calories in alcohol... And I should probably start working out now since I haven't done that yet

My bmi is 31 but I have plenty I fat to lose. I envy you for taking control of your weight at 28, I'm 40. I started walking early out and am now running about 2-3 miles a day!! I am so proud of that accomplishment! But so frustrated with my weight loss!!

5'3

starting weight 200

Current weight 167

Sleeved Jan 10th

Me and you are almost exactly the same !! Sleeved Jan 5th starting weight 201 , I'm 5'3 , current weight 163 ;)

Started losing pre op Oct 7, 2012 373#

Surgery Jan 16, 2013 333#

Today 278#

Down 55 since surgery and 95 since Oct 7 last year

Been in a 2 week stall

Going pretty well but like a few others I can eat anything without feeling bad - kind of to a fault. I get full quicker but then hungry fast too

Surgery date: 01/30/13

Starting weight was 311. I lost 13 pounds with my two week pre-op diet. Surgery day weight was 298. This morning I was 264. So 47 pounds in 11 weeks.

It is very frustrating when you think you aren't losing as fast as other people, especially when you have a higher bmi or are younger etc.

I try not to compare, but it's hard because you want to know how you're progress is going.

What I try to remember is I can't always tell what's going on in my body. Just because the scale isn't moving doesn't mean I'm not losing inches. Another thing is you can't be sure those people losing massive amounts of weight aren't losing muscle as well which is heavy. My goal is to keep all of my muscle, build more muscle and lose fat.

I feel as long as something is moving downward I am making progress. It does help that I get to check in every month and tell what my fat loss is and my muscle loss is.

I've only lost a half a pound of muscle so far which is very important to me.

I started weight training so I'm excited to see if I gained any muscle on my next check up.

I have noticed that if I do an hour of Low intensity cardio it helps breaks my scale stalls. Just a thought.

It seems everyone is losing weight and in the end that's all that matters. 3 pounds a week for a year is 156 pounds!!! And that is a lot of weight to lose. It just seems so slow when we are checking the stats so frequently.

Highest weight (7/10/12) - 276

Surgery weight (1/21/13) - 243

Current weight (4/2/13) - 215

Fast or slow...I'm just glad I'm losing weight and feeling great! :D
