January 22, 2013 surgery date

Starting Weight: 205

Surgery Date: 195

Total Pre Op Weight Loss: 10 pounds

Current Weight: 179

Total Weight Loss: 26 pounds

My problem: I am not drinking enough Water, I can't stomach Protein Shakes and I seriously can eat what ever I want without feeling any negative side effects... to a fault. I only feel full faster. :( I wish my stomach made me sick or I had problems eating things. It's all about self discipline which if I had in the first place, I wouldn't have needed this surgery. I work out and run on my treadmill. I was on a stall so I quit working out and weight finally started to fall off. Perhaps I was not getting enough good calories and of course need more Protein and less carbs. I really need to start anew and get my nutrition in gear and resume my work outs. A few weeks ago I actually ran 3 miles without stopping. Never being a runner, that was a huge accomplishment for me. Now if I could just eat right and drink more water, I could maybe get this weight falling off faster!!!

Girl! You are not a slow loser! I had surgery 1/17 and am down 33 pounds...15 of the 33 were with the liquid diet. So I have only lost 18 since surgery. VERY FRUSTRATING!!

Yeah! Someone like me!! My surgery date was 1/21 and I've lost 12 pounds!! I just don't get this!!

I'm a slow poke too. My best days for losing are the ones with protien shakes and Water. No stupid carbs - like mashed potatoes, fruit juice and sweet smoothies. I keep gaining and losing the same 2 pounds. Ugh! One-derland is just two pounds away but I can't seem to break through.

Hang in there. I share your frustration, even though we both know slow and steady wins the day.

I'm really strict about eating just three meals

Typically Breakfast I have a spoon of Peanut Butter w/ banana or apple slices or I scramble one egg w/ ham cut up into it

lunch I usually roll deli meat in lettuce w/ fruit on the side or I'll eat a 100cal flat bread with deli meat lettuce n mayo...

dinner I'll eat whatever... I pretty much never have cut carbs out completely but it should never be what ur meal totally consists of... If I eat pizza I get it with meatballs or chicken on top so I always get protein...

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
