tummy tuck vs lower body lift

Recommended Posts

I have been presented with these options. My backside isnt bad, but I could wear fitted clothes without the skin roll after LBL

Curious how you decided to go for the LBL??? Doc said recovery isnt much worse than Tummy Tuck. Scar is bigger of course....

From what I've seen of the scars, both are huge, so what's a little more scar? I'm not sure what I'll end up with, but I'm definitely leaning towards LBL because it will remove more skin...and I have a lot of loose skin in my tummy area.

I went for the extended Tummy Tuck. It doesn't connect for 5" in the center of my back but goes all the way around otherwise. I think she did Lipo of my flanks to get the best result possible in that area. I had a thigh lift at the same time. I am 12 days postop. I lost 115 lbs and that was the best surgery to address the wreckage. If I needed more help in the tush area I would have gone all the way around. I do think the recovery would be similar either way.

Absolutely I will - I took the 'befores' and I will retake at 2 weeks post op and then at 6 and then post. I was in no shape right after surgery to take photos!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
