Hi I'm 23yo from Sydney Australia.

My surgery date is march 7th, I'm excited, nervous and worried because I'm having surgery during my first week back at university.

Mini Me...I can relate to the worry. Mine is scheduled 2 weeks before I fly to CO for my sisters wedding. I'm sure we will both do fine!!

After reading about leaks and the complications of this surgery, I'm worried that i'll be one of those people, and I hope to god I'm not, but you never know until your out of the OR

I am with casp and suelee for a March 11 surgery date. My claim was submitted to Aetna on Friday and I was approved on Monday. Yay! I go in on 2/21 to get the info about my 2 week pre-op diet. That will only give me 4 days to get ready for it.

Sunflowers, just think 2 weeks from today and you'll be there! That's only 14 days!!! You can do anything for 14 days! I'm March 6th, so I'm right there with you. Luckily I don't have a liquid pre-op diet but I am definitely pulling out the last of my will power to get through!! Keep it up! It will all be worth it!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
