February Sleevers

I'm set up for February 4th. Seems like forever away. People keep telling me, "oh don't worry". It bugs me cause I'm not worried. What seems to keep popping in my head is, am I doing the right thing.

I would like to here what others are thinking, going through.

My Doctors plan is two days preop clear liquid, not 10 like I've been reading on here. Anyone else similar?

Thanks,

Kimo

I was sleeved today. To be honest it wasn't that bad ( besides them not being able to start an IV after 3 tries). So they put it in my arm and not my hand. They gave me a sedative before I went into the Operating Room. I don't even remember going into the OR. I was very nausea's after surgery from the pain meds. The hardest part for me was the nausea. I kept asking for ice chips and that helped me alot. I feel no different when I drank Thankfully. So don't be nervous February Sleevers, Best Wishes to all ;)

Glad it went well!!! Thurs. Is my day!!!

My hospital pre-registration is today! Anything I should know before heading in at 1pm today? I'm just hoping nothing has changed w/ my date & time. The bariatric office said sometimes they have to change it and you will find out when you register at the hospital. I think that's the thing that I'm most nervous about right now. That it's been pushed back for some reason. Then again, I'm supposed to arrive at 5:15 am. What are the odds it gets rescheduled?

im so excited for all you February sleevers!!!

im so excited for all you February sleevers!!!

Thank you.

You will do great tomorrow!! I had no complications and I'm 8 days out and thrilled already. Stay positive and focus on the prize. You will do wonderfully! I'm praying for you! The very worst part of the whole process is the emotional side and worrying. The rest becomes just a blur after a few days. Focus and you will be fine. We are all here for you!!

ith11 - Wow, online the day after surgery. That's pretty reassuring to the rest of us. Here's for a speedy recovery! Please keep us posted. My surgery is in 10 days.

You guys are going to do great. I am also 8 days out and can't tell I've had any surgery....well except I am constantly full. Everything is back to normal and I feel great.

I agree with Marcy, the emotional side is the hardest. Once surgery is over everything fads away. I am excited for all of you.

So glad to hear everyone who had surgery today is doing well!! Mine is tomorrow and they want me to be at the hospital at 11 am and surgery is scheduled for 12:40! Getting a little nervous but I kinda of just want to get it over with at this point!
