wow congratulations to everyone! I feel a little discouraged though because it seems everyone has lost over 90+ lbs I have only lost like 62lbs (which I'm very grateful for don't get me wrong) I guess I'm just a slow loser!

I will be 5 weeks post op tomorrow and I have felt fine until a couple days ago and now everytime I eat anything I feel nauseous after!! I dont get it I have been fine...it's not like I'm eating anything different than I was before! Anyone else have this problem??

I see slit of people saying they still don't have any energy but I actually feel like I have more energy from having this surgery than before! Also I'm 3 weeks out today and started soft foods last week but I haven't puréed anything I just chew really, really well...just testing things here and there like scrambled egg, lunch meat (turkey, cheese, ham) grits, cheese and crackers, cottage cheese, refried beans with sour cream and cheese, string cheese, veggie burger and Greek yogurt. I am almost 2 weeks post op and haven't started stage 3 yet but I'm starving!! I can't take anymore protein shakes,chicken broth or unflavored protein anymore! I just want some kind of food substance! Anyone else feel like this?? Sent from my iPhone using VST

I just got home today from being in the hospital since wed the 13 th and I have had really bad gas pains! I've been taking the gas x strips and trying to walk around the house since its so cold outside! Anyone else having this problem and what are you doing about it?? Sent from my iPhone using VST

I was regretting (and still am a little bit) about the surgery because I honestly didn't think I would not be a fast recoverer...I've said in previous posts that I have had a breast reduction and tummy tuck and for being such big operations I did so much better but I never really sat back and thought about part of my organ being taken off!! I don't have much soreness in the incision sites just hoping to keep everything down, the doctor said the top part of my stomach was really swollen and that's why I needed to not drink anything else yesterday and give it a rest Sent from my iPhone using VST

They want me to stay because I threw up the protein shake yesterday along with my crushed meds so they want me to stay on liquids and try the protein tom...of course I would love to sleep in my own bed but I'm soooo afraid of dehydration! Sent from my iPhone using VST

Hi I was the 13th too...the gas pain for me went away yesterday but today is the first day I am able to hold Clear liquids down because thurs and fri I threw them up... Just got the drain taken out a few hours ago and it's not so much painful but a really weird sensation but it only lasts for a few seconds and then you should be good. I have had drains in the past but the dr told me these kind of drains are deeper inside than drains from plastic surgery procedures. Are u still in the hospital? Sent from my iPhone using VST

Well still in the hospital... Surgery was on 2/13 not nauseous anymore(knock on wood) but they made me stay last night because after trying the protein shake (4 sips) I threw it up! So they took me off of liquids all together again! They have me trying the clear liquids again today but they are still not sure if ill go home or not! Believe me I want to go home but I'm so afraid of throwing up and being dehydrated!! Anyone have this issue?? Sent from my iPhone using VST

I was extremely nauseous yesterday and I couldn't even sip 2 medicine cup sizes of water... I ended up throwing up and being soooooo nauseous all night they kept giving me zofran (spelling?) but it would wear off in an hour! Not as much nausea today so have me lightly sipping a protein shake... They think that a lot of the nausea was caused by the stuff I had to drink for the upper GI... So glad to hear everyone who had surgery today is doing well!! Mine is tomorrow and they want me to be at the hospital at 11 am and surgery is scheduled for 12:40! Getting a little nervous but I kinda of just want to get it over with at this point! Sent from my iPhone using VST
