  1. Does your stomach heal together or do the staples hold it together for the rest of your life? If the stomach does heal back together how long does that take?
  2. What does everyone feel like when they are full. I'm not sure if I can feel when I am full. WIll I throw up if I eat too much or what happens. I remember what it feels like to overeat but I don't want to make myself that stuffed so I don't get a leak.
  3. Is it ok to have peppermints.I have some that basically dissolve in my mouth and they do have sugar in them. I am only 5 days post op and need some thing to help with the dryness in my mouth and the nasty taste from all the skin milk I have been drinking.
  4. I was wondering how long after surgery we need to worry about leaks. Is it until your stomach is healed, or just a certain amount of time, or is it forever.
  5. Does anyone here eat things with added sugar or things that just have sugar in it usually. I don't agreed with sugar free things made with aspartame or splenda because of the health effects. I have heard with the sleeve people usually don't have problems with sugar.I was wondering because while on clear liquids I can have jello but I don't want the sugar free kind.
  6. Thanks for all the replies I am out of the hospital and have been trying to get in all of the liquids that the dr. recommends. I am just afraid of drinking to much and being in pain. I feel alright so far but I can't wait to get this drain out because I feel like that may be some of the discomfort. I was put on pain meds and also told I could take tylenol. I do feel like it is helping but I just can't wait to not have any pain. I guessed its more annoying then anything.
  7. I am new here and just had surgery on feb 13. I was wondering when the pain goes away and how you can tell if you are full with all of the pain. Also anyone that had a drain put in did it hurt to have it taken out?
