One night seems quick. Wonder if it was an insurance thing? I have to stay 2 nights

I only stayed one night too. I was self pay and had two nights but I had no nausea or trouble keeping up with the liquids. I also walked like a mad woman so I asked if I could go home. Of course, in hindsight I probably should have stayed since they parked me in a beautiful 2 room suite! That doesn't happen every day! lol!

I'm also overnight, going home in the morning.

You must be doing well! Good going! Keep walking and sipping! :)

Hi, yes! I just had surgery on March 8, 2013 in the Dominican Republic. I was there for 1 week. I'm now back in NJ, and 2 weeks post-op.

I'm glad you started this thread!

Who was your Doctor in DR?

Wow, 11 days already! I feel like i just read a preop post from you! Thanx for the taking tip. I have a bunch left over from my preop diet and wasn't sure when or if I'd be able to use them. Tomorrow is surgery for me.

Good luck to you!

Sleeved yesterday with Dr. Gersin, surgery went great, and he says I should not have any problems. Just restarted my BP meds and will probably go home tomorrow. So far doing well holding down liquids, i try to drink 30 cc every 15-30 minutes, and have no pain except on the side where they took out my stomach. I am so happy and my husband has been great....????

Made it!!! Not gonna lie, pain is no joke. They found a mass on my liver (most likely benign) and tried unsuccessfully to get a biopsy but no luck so I have a few extra incisions. Other than that, seem to be progressing normally. Hope to go home tomorrow. GL for tomorrow's sleevers!

Yes' date=' I just have pain where the air pocket is.[/quote']

Ok now that part does not sound fun, but it sounds like its bare able pain.. Which is what I was afraid of... I'm in line tomorrow, and can't wait to get on the losers bench :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
